"Sex is my hubby...Don Jazzy and Clarence Peters are really hot" -- Maheeda reveals much in new interview

By     No comments:

In a recent interview with Bellanaija,
controversial singer, Maheeda real name
Caroline Sam , reveals alot about her
married life, her music sojourn from circular
to gospel and back to circular, her daughter
and plans for the future in the Nigerian
music industry.
Catch a few excerpts below:
Since you dropped your first Gospel
single, “Hallelujah” back in 2012, we
haven’t heard any other Gospel songs
from you. Why the decision to go back to
secular music?
Like I said, I never specified that I was a
secular artist nor did I say I was a Gospel
artist. I choose to take the best of both worlds
and put it in my music. If I want to thank
God for his mercies, I will. And, also, if I
want to tell you that I love sex, I will.
With a young daughter, do you feel that
your ‘sexy propaganda’ might be
teaching her to do the same? How would
you feel if your daughter started putting
up semi-nude photos on her own
Instagram page?
My daughter is thirteen years old and well-
trained. Schools in Europe teach sex
education. They teach them what to do as a
eenager and they also teach them what not
to do. At home as well, I put more light into
what the school has taught her. My daughter
knows her limits and I am a happy mum.
Some pastors’ kids end up always being in
clubs and it’s by their choice. One thing I’ll
just say is that children will make choices.
We, as parents, can only pray that they make
good ones.
What are some of your hobbies and
favourite pastimes?
Sex, dancing, reading and social media
websites, Twitter and Instagram (laughs).
On your social media platforms, you have
mentioned that you’re just doing what
you do best and that is being sexy.Who
does Maheeda find sexy?
I think that Clarence Peters and Don Jazzy
are really hot. I like the kind of guy that talks
less but does more. If you apply that in bed,
hmmm, it’s really sexy. I love surprises, in
and out of bed. I want to be ‘wow’-ed. I want
the guy to make me wander (laughs).
Will you be collaborating with any
musicians in the near future?
Hopefully, I will be collaborating with a few
musicians in the near future. I am currently
begging a lot of them now. Since they have
now passed my level, I want them to pull me
up to theirs but them never answer me yet.
Let’s see how the Nigerian music industry
supports their own. At the end of the day
though, if they don’t support me, I guess it’s
just between me and my God then. And, my
God is one who makes a way where it seems
to be no way.

'Pilot error caused Associated Airlines plane crash' - AIB reveals

By     No comments:

The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has
revealed that the October 3rd Associated
Airlines crash that killed 14 people was caused
by pilot error. The agency explained that the
preliminary readout and analysis of the flight
recorder indicated that the right engine of the
aircraft was faulty.
The agency also said that preliminary
investigation indicated that the captain-in-
command of the ill-fated aircraft, Abdulrahman
Yakubu, ignored the warning from the onboard
computer voice.
This was disclosed to journalists by the
Commissioner for AIB, Capt. Usman Muktar,
while reading out the preliminary readout and
analysis of flight 361’s flight recorders in Abuja
yesterday.
He said the investigation was done in AIB
laboratory in Abuja in conjunction with
international flight recorder experts from
Canada, who designed the laboratory.
Capt. Mukthar said the Flight Data Recorder
(FDR) contained approximately 47 hours in solid
state memory, while the Cockpit Voice Recorder
(CVR) contained thirty-two and a half minutes of
audio, which included internal conversation of
two pilots, radio calls, and the overall
environment in the cockpit.
Muktar said that Associated Airlines flight 361
was cleared for take-off by the Air Traffic
Controller on runway 18 left of the Murtala
Muhammed Airport (MMA) Lagos, adding that at
that time, the wind was calm and weather was
not considered a factor in the accident.
He added that four seconds after the engine
power was advanced to commence take off roll,
the crew received an automated warning from
the onboard computer voice which consisted of
three chimes followed by “Take off Flap, Take off
Flap, Take off flap.”
He stated that this configuration warning
suggested that the flaps were not in the correct
position for take-off and there was evidence that
the crew might have chosen not to use flaps for
the take-off.
According to him, “This warning did not appear
to come as any surprise to the crew, and they
continued normally with the take-off. This
warning continues throughout the take-off roll.“
Capt. Mukhtar added that AIB was in the
process of verifying the accuracy of the flight
data, adding that the agency had not been able
to confirm the actual flap setting and that AIB
was expected to determine this in the fullness of
time.
The AIB commissioner added that the ‘set
power’ call was made by the captain and the
‘power is set’ was confirmed by the First Officer
as expected in the normal operations, adding
that approximately three seconds after the
‘power is set’ call, the First Officer noted that the
aircraft was moving slowly.
Approximately seven seconds after the ‘power is
set‘ call, the internal aircraft voice warning
system could be heard stating ‘Take off Flap,
Auto Feather’.
He explained that auto feather refers to the
pitch of the propeller blades, adding that in the
feather position, the propeller does not produce
any thrust.
The Flight Data Recorder, he said, contains
several engine related parameters, which the
AIB was studying.
“At this time, we can state that the right engine
appears to be producing considerably less thrust
than the left engine. The left engine appeared to
be working normally. The aircraft automated
voice continued to repeat, Take off Flap, Auto
Feather.’ “
According to an aircraft engineer, Sheri Kyari,
the flap on an aircraft is located at the trailing
edge of the wing. It is at the rear end of the
wings.
Kyari, a former president of Pilots and Aircraft
Engineers in the defunct Nigeria Airways Limited,
the function of the flap when operational
increases the surface area of the wing, thereby
generating enough lift at low aircraft speeds.
This is when the aircraft is taking off or landing.
Kyari, is convener and executive director, Centre
of Aviation Safety and Research.
“When the flap is not set to the required degree
for take off, the aircraft will have to do a long
take-off run before gaining enough lift to lift-off
the ground,” he said.
Reading out the preliminary report, AIB said “the
standard ‘eighty knots’ call was made by the
First Officer. The first evidence that the crew
indicated that there was a problem with the
take-off roll was immediately following the
‘eighty knots’ call.
“The First Officer asked if the take-off should be
aborted approximately 12 seconds after the
‘eighty knots’ callout”
AIB added that the captain, in response to the
Flight Officer’s question to abort the take off,
said that they should continue, adding that the
crew did not make V1 call, which is the speed at
which the decision to abort or continue a take-
off is made, or the Vr call, which indicates the
speed at which it is planned to rotate the
aircraft.
The Commissioner added that normally, the
non-flying pilot pulls back both the V1 and the
Vr speeds,
He said that when the Vr was called, the flying
pilot pulled back the control column. The First
Officer asked the Captain ‘gently’, a word that
indicated that the aircraft was not performing
normally.
He added that the aircraft did not produce
enough overall thrust and that it was difficult or
impossible to climb without risk of an
aerodynamics stall.
An aviation expert, Mallam Muhammadu Dodo,
described aerodynamics as the streamline of air
flow around the aircraft due to its design. It
enables it to attain a stable and safe flight.
Immediately after lift-off, the aircraft slowly
veered off the runway, heading to the right and
was not climbing, and that the aircraft behaviour
made ATC to ask the pilot if Flight 361 operation
was normal but that they did not respond, and
that 31 seconds after the warning, the aircraft
crashed.

D' bang : 'I'd love to have Genevieve as my wife' - in new interview

By     No comments:

He granted an interview to reporters on
Wednesday which was published in Punch today
where he talked about his career and his
relationship with Genevieve. And guys, please
stop all this 'it's just a publicity stunt' It wasn't.
They didn't just date, they were madly in love.
Read the interview below.
Singer, Dapo Oyebanji, aka D’banj, finally
opened up on his love life in a rare meeting with
journalists in Lagos on Wednesday.
The self-styled Kokomaster was clearly in his
elements as he talked at length, amid occasional
bouts of laughter, about his career and other
issues that were important to him. One of the
subjects was about his rumoured relationship
with Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji.
Judging by the manner in which the actress’
name kept popping off his lips, it was obvious
that D’banj had a very soft spot for her.
Aware that the grapevine had bristled with the
rumour that he was romantically involved with
Genevieve, ever since she appeared in the 2010
video of his hit song, ‘Fall in Love’, the singer
said the actress had played a role in his success.
“Apart from the fact that she is my friend, she
has been a part of my success. There is no way
you are going to tell my story that Genevieve’s
name will not come up because she featured in
my biggest song of all time, Fall in Love. So if E
True Story comes to Nigeria to interview me, she
will definitely be called upon to tell my story,” he
said.
As if to confirm that there was more to his
relationship with the actress than he had always
admitted, D’banj added,
“I would love to have Genevieve as my wife. We
never can tell what God plans for us in the
future. I have studied her and I realised that
anyone that has her as his woman has found
himself a treasure. Just like the Bible says, any
man who finds a wife, finds a good thing.”
On remaining relevant, he said:
“So much has happened in the last 18 months
and I am very thankful to God. By the Grace of
God, I have remained relevant for nearly a
decade in the music industry and I have released
hit songs every year. Also, I am glad that I have
been chosen to headline the Hennessy Artistry
this year. This is one brand that understands the
importance of aligning with the entertainment
industry.
“My career is barely 10 years old. But with the
success I have achieved so far, it feels like three
decades already. Within my first 10 years as a
musician, I have recorded the biggest song and
shot the most viewed music video of all time,
‘Oliver Twist’. I must say I am humbled and
getting ready to take over,” he said.
Without mincing words, D’banj noted that the
history of his career and the resulting
accomplishments will be incomplete without
mentioning his humble beginning with the
defunct Mo’Hits Records. The mere mention of
his erstwhile colleagues, including Don Jazzy,
seemed to awaken nostalgic feelings in him.
“If I say I don’t miss Don Jazzy, I am lying. I
have spent the better part of my career with
him. I was married to him in a way (laughs). So
I miss everything about Mo’Hits: the family, the
movement, and the vibe of being in the studio
with him. I miss the jokes and the arguments,
but I have since keyed into the notion that
nothing can stop a moving train.
“Nevertheless we can always do music together.
The track, ‘Top of the World’ was produced by a
Grammy Award Winner. The songs ‘Finally’ and
‘Don’t Tell Me Nonsense’ was produced by my
producer while ‘Oliver Twist’ was produced by
Don Jazzy. So, why won’t I have him on my 10
years anniversary album?
“I have never said I am a musician; I am an
entertainer. Some people say I can pick up a
microphone and become a comedian. Therefore
nobody should come and ask if I want to go into
acting because they should know I am already
an actor. It depends on when the right script
and concept lands in my hands.
“For now, I am concerned about achieving new
things and breaking new grounds. By the time I
enter Hollywood, I believe that I’ll become as
successful as I have been as a singer. The movie
titled ‘I am Banga Lee’, starring Genevieve, to be
released in 2014, won’t be a bad idea,” He said.
