Diddy charged with 3 counts of assault with a deadly weapon & one count of making terrorist threats
Yesterday Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested for allegedly attacking his son's football coach at UCLA. He was handcuffed and put in the back of a patrol car and later taken to the county jail.
He told police he acted in self-defence and was not the aggressor. Diddy said he went to the school to confront the coach after he found out he'd been bullying his son Justin.
Buhari Okays Military Checkpoint In 'frontline States'
A day after ordering the dismantling of military checkpoints nationwide, President Muhammadu Buhari has relaxed the rule.
Abdulazeez Yari, governor of Zamfara state and chairman of the governors’ forum, said on Tuesday that the governors told Buhari the order was “untimely” because of the security challenges facing the states.
“But Mr. President cited some incidents that happened at the military checkpoints but where necessary, he has given the chief of army staff the permission that they can continue especially in the north, south-east and the frontline states,” he said.
The frontline states are where the counter-terrorism operations are currently taking place in the north-east.

Gov. Ikpeazu Cuts Own Salary, Travelling Allowance By 50%
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has announced the slashing of his salary and travel allowance by 50%.
Ikpeazu, who disclosed this Monday at the Government House Umuahia, while swearing in the state’s new Head of Service, Dr. Vivian Uma, said he was deeply pained by his administration’s inability to pay salaries of workers as at when due following the dwindling federal allocation.
National Identity Number Made Mandatory Come September
FROM September 1, the National Identity Number (NIN) shall become mandatory for all transactions involving the identification of individuals in the country.
To that end, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), which is in charge of NIN issuance, has urged Nigerians to avail themselves the opportunity of enrolling in the national identity database to get their NIN.
Buhari Orders Removal Of Military Check Points nationwide
President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the removal of all military check points nationwide and has directed that police should take control of internal security.
Addressing State House correspondents after a meeting between the president and service chiefs, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry of defence, Alhaji Ismail Aliyu said the president directed the security chiefs to liaise with the Police on taking over internal security.
