The Federal Government has reverted its decision to upgrade some colleges of education to universities of education.
It would be recalled that the Federal Government had earlier approved the upgrade of Federal College of Education, Kano; Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo; Federal College of Education, Zaria; and Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri to universities of education.

According to spokesman for the U.S. National Security Council, Ned Price, the second in command of ISIS leadership, Haji Mutazz, who also goes by the name Fadhil Ahmad al-Hayali, was killed in an August 18th US drone strike near Mosul, Iraq.
