Meet Pastor Who Predicted Prince Abubakar Audu’s Death

By     No comments:
KOGI Audu

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder of Omega Fire and Miracles Ministries, based in Auchi, Edo State has revealed in a chat with Vanguard how he predicted Late Audu Abubakar’s death, that of mama HID Awolowo, a plane crash and many more.
He said he also told people around him that bombings will resume in Borno, but they felt with the coming of President Buhari it will stop, but he said no, it won’t stop because God says it is not yet time.
Read his revelations below…
Apart from evangelising around the world, you are also noted for fore-telling events. Among the several you have foretold, can you tell us few?
I want to start with the latest, and that was the death of Abubakar Audu in the Kogi State election.
I was at a crusade in our Houston Texas branch on November 7, 2015, when God revealed to me that a popular politician in Nigeria could die in the middle of an election.
I told the nation.
Then there was the event on September 20, 2015 when I said I saw that there was going to be fresh bombings in Borno and I asked Nigerians to go into prayer.
Many had believed that with the coming of President Muhammadu Buhari to power, the Boko Haram bombings were going to stop but God said not yet. Also, on Sunday October 25, 2015, I told the world that I saw an aircraft of a foreign nation crashing with no casualty.
That later happened to be Dynamic Airways which caught fire but no life was lost. All the events where these prophecies were announced were aired live on our ministry’s Celebration TV.
On May 29, 2015, God spoke through me and I said it that the Buhari government would fight churches. Not long after, the Kaduna State governor, El-Rufai, shut down a church in Kaduna.
This particular warning was repeated on August 28 and September 6, 2015. On June 26 and July 6, 2015, I foresaw fire outbreak and buildings collapse in Lagos, which came to pass.
On that same June 26, I warned of an inferno at Onitsha market, which also came to pass, because people ignored these warnings and refused to seek God’s face over them.
Also, I’m the first man of God that foresaw the demise of Mrs. HID Awolowo. During the September Fire and Miracle Night, I did warn of the impending death of a prominent female figure that will touch the nation.

I Can’t Be Bello’s Deputy, Says Faleke

By     No comments:
FRONT-PIX

ALTHOUGH the All Progressives Congress (APC) was yesterday declared the winner of the Kogi State governorship election that was concluded at the weekend, intra-party wrangling is apparently dampening the celebration that should follow the electoral victory.
The running mate to the late Abubakar Audu, the APC candidate in the November 21 governorship election and deputy governor-elect James Abiodun Faleke, yesterday insisted that he would not be deputy to the governor-elect, Yahaya Bello.
Bello, who replaced the late Audu, for last Saturday’s supplementary election held in 91 polling units, was in the early hours of yesterday declared winner of the polls by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Basking in the euphoria of victory, Bello explained his acceptance to replace Audu as an act of obedience to party supremacy. He insisted that Falake remained his deputy since his position as running mate was not affected.
Bello who spoke to reporters in reaction to his victory as the winner of the supplementary election said Faleke remained the deputy-governor elect as the position was never vacant.
His words: “The former candidate of the party died. INEC requested the party to substitute, and I was chosen to fill the gap.
The space of the running mate was never vacant. So if I respond to run on that platform, I don’t think I have any choice but to respect the decision of the party.”
Bello who was dressed in an all white traditional garb called agbada said his reaction to the results was that of ecstasy. However, he said the jubilation was low-keyed because of the death of Abubakar Audu who he described as their great leader.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described as a waste of time and scarce national resources and a ridiculous shadow-chasing, the action of INEC in declaring Bello the governor-elect.
The PDP said INEC, in the bid to satisfy the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC Federal Government, succeeded only in making a mockery of itself and the entire electoral process, by trying to illegally install an individual who, apart from not being a valid candidate, scored, under his name, a paltry 6,885 vote in the so-called supplementary election as
against the 204,877 votes polled by the PDP candidate, Governor Idris Wada in the overall election.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement on Sunday said that “the action of INEC in trying to transfer the votes earlier garnered by the dead APC candidate, Prince Audu Abubakar to another
individual is completely impractical and alien to the nation’s Constitution and the Electoral Act.”
Faleke had sued the INEC and others for declaring the November 21 polls inconclusive and sought to stop the supplementary election but lost the case on Friday when the Federal High Court, Abuja Division insisted that only election tribunals had jurisdiction on such matters.
He insisted that, as the running mate of the late Audu, he was the authentic winner of the said election, as Bello could not inherit votes from an election he did not participate in.
In declaring Bello winner, INEC yesterday said he polled a total of 247,752 to beat the incumbent governor and candidate of the PDP, Wada, who scored 204,877, out of the total accredited voters of 526,389.
The returning officer, Prof. Emmanuel Kucha, who is the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Makurdi, said: “Alh. Yahaya Bello having scored the highest number of votes and satisfied the law is hereby declared winner and returned elected.”
Faleke who spoke through his media aide, Duro Meseko, maintained that no one could force him to be the deputy to Bello, adding that he was ready to pursue his case to a logical conclusion.
“That somebody is a member of a party does not mean that you cannot fight for your rights, if they are trampled upon.
The result of Saturday’s supplementary election has further confirmed my earlier position that we won the election of Saturday November 21st.
My position is that I have appealed the case and nobody can force me to be deputy governor-elect to Yahaya Bello.
“I have taken the position that I am the winner of the election and even the election declared yesterday with the total votes cast which was a little above 12, 000 has vindicated the Audu/ Faleke campaign organisation that they should have been declared winner in the first place and that there was no need for the supplementary election,” he said.
On the way forward towards addressing some of the issues thrown up by the controversial circumstances surrounding his emergence as APC candidate, Bello said he was embarking on a quick reconciliatory move towards the immediate family and the political family of the late Audu.
He said he would also reach out to other leaders of the party and even outside the party towards true reconciliation. On those who might refer to him as a “governor-elect of a supplementary election” he said as a party man who was chosen by the party, “all votes cast in the election are for the party. So I cannot be said to be a governor of a supplementary election.”
He said he had a blueprint in line with the party’s manifesto to put the state on developmental map, adding that he would “make sure that there is justice, fairness and equity in the distribution of resources across the state.”
On the likelihood of litigations, he said that was usually expected after elections. “ But I don’t think there will be so much litigation as the issues are within the party and the party is going to handle it well.”
In a related development, Faleke has appealed to the people of the state to remain calm in the wake of Bello’s emergence as governor-elect. Sources who spoke to The Guardian at Faleke’s house in Ekinrinade, Ijumu Local Council said the appeal became necessary in order to calm the frayed nerves of his supporters.
The atmosphere in the compound located along Omuo road was sombre as many of those who were gathered there discussed the development in hushed tones.

Why I Was Not Made A Minister By Buhari – Falana

By     No comments:
Falana

Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana says he was not appointed as Minister in the Buhari-led govt because of some “ideological reason” He said this in an interview with The Interviewer magazine

“I was actually contacted. I was actually invited to come on board.
It took me appreciable time to make up my mind. Along the way, I was made to understand there were people who were opposed to my appointment for ideological reasons.
For me, it would have been a call to service, not to make money.
Those who believed that I should mobilize people to put in a word for me, or wanted me to speak to somebody I fought on principle several years ago were, of course, disappointed.
This guy actually headed one of the universities at a time students were killed. I had to support the students’ cause at that time.
You don’t then expect me to go to him and swallow my vomit. This is what I mean by the ideological price.”he said

11 Questions Okonjo-Iweala Must Answer On $5bn Abacha Loot – SERAP

By     No comments:
Ngozi-Okonjo-Iweala

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has rejected the accusation of political agenda by the immediate-past Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, saying that “the issue of how over $5 billion recovered Abacha funds were spent under her watch deserves serious attention”.
In a statement on Sunday by SERAP executive director, Adetokunbo Mumuni, the organisation said that, “By making unfounded allegations against SERAP, Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala has provided little more than an unhelpful distraction, which can only serve to undermine genuine efforts to promote transparency and accountability in Nigeria, the country that she claims to love so dearly”.
Last week, Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala described the call by SERAP for her probe over the spending of the Abacha loot as a politically-sponsored action; that SERAP is compromised; that SERAP is a tool for reprehensible, corrupt vested interests; and that the returned Abacha loot was properly appropriated and channelled into roads, electricity, education, water and health across all six geo-political zones of Nigeria.
The response by the organisation reads in part: “As a public trust, SERAP has an important role to play in revealing the discrepancies between the World Bank documents and the clear lack of access of millions of Nigerians to quality education, adequate healthcare, clean water, safe roads and regular electricity supply during the period covered by the documents”.
“If she truly loves Nigeria, Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala should have come out to say exactly how the over $5 billion of Abacha loot was spent under her watch. Trying to dodge responsibility for the spending of our commonwealth or attacking SERAP that is trying to get to the bottom of what happened to the funds is a betrayal of that love. Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala should not be immune from accountability for what happened to Abacha recovered loot just because she is no longer in government”.
“If the aim of these allegations is to bully us into stopping our work to seek accountability on the spending of over $5 billion recovered Abacha loot, then it has failed, as SERAP will never back down in its pursuit of justice in the face of such attack”.
“These new allegations echo those that Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala made against us in March to divert attention from SERAP freedom of information suit on the spending of N30 trillion by the former government of President Goodluck Jonathan. SERAP has fully responded to these allegations. SERAP’s credibility is exemplified by the fact of several awards it has received nationally and internationally including nomination for the UN civil society award in 2008; nomination for the Ford Foundation Jubilee Transparency Award for 2011, and the Wole Soyinka Anti-Corruption Defender Award SERAP received in 2014”.
“As we continue to study the documents received from the World Bank, we have identified 11 questions that Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to answer as a matter of priority”.
“First, the World Bank confirmed that of the 51 projects reviewed, 23 were described as “completed”, 26 were at various stages of completion, and 2 were described as “abandoned”. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to show us evidence of the 23 projects allegedly completed, and whether the 26 projects where actually completed; and what became of the 2 abandoned projects”.
“Second, the World Bank confirmed that 6 out of 8 health centres reviewed pertained to physical infrastructure but were not completed. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain why these projects were not completed on time, and whether in fact they were completed at all; as well as location of completed projects”.
“Nigerians would also like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain the letter she wrote to the Ambassador of Switzerland to Nigeria January 9, 2005 that of the 174 health centres built with Abacha funds, 138 were fully functional and that remaining 36 were expected to be commissioned in January 2005. Nigerians would appreciate it if Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala could identify and name all the health centres mentioned in her letter”.
“Third, as regards power projects, the World Bank confirmed that payments by government to contractors could not be verified “because in most cases contact information for contractors was not available,” and that 10 of the 18 power projects pertained to physical electrical installations. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to identify and name the 10 installations, and to provide contact details of the contractors that executed the projects”.
“Fourth, the World Bank confirmed that most of the recovered funds were used to repay domestic borrowing. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain how much exactly was involved as a part of 2004 annual budget execution in anticipation of the repatriation of the looted funds in 2004, as well as repayment terms of the funds and from which banks”.
“Fifth, the World Bank confirmed that the government opened a special US dollar account for recovered funds with the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, to which various transfers of Abacha loot were made. The World Bank also confirmed that some $50 million was received before 2005 which was kept in the special account. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain how much was left in the account by the time she left office in May”.
“Sixth, the World Bank confirmed that the data on inflows of recovered funds are broadly identical but that there was one material discrepancy, which was unexplained. The Bank also said the information it received from the government ‘does not contain a reference to the transfer of $5.2 mn in August of 2006.’ Nigerians would like Mrs Okonjo-Iweala to explain the material discrepancy, and why the transfer of $5.2 mn was not disclosed to the Bank”.
“Seventh, the World Bank confirmed that Abacha returned loot was used as source of 2005 budget deficit financing, and that the funds were directed to co-financing of capital expenditure and balancing the 2005 budget. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain exactly the capital expenditure involved”.
“Eighth, the World Bank confirmed that the Abacha funds were used to provide additional financing for the Universal Basic Education (UBE) program in the amount of NGN24.25 bn to support basic education throughout the country. This amount was fully disbursed and fully utilized. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to identify the number and location of schools which benefited from these funds at the time”.
“Ninth, the World Bank confirmed that there were problems with collecting project-related information because of under-developed reporting and accounting standards, and absence of properly set-up databases for sectoral project portfolios; and weak administrative capacity in the ministry of finance. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain why this was the case under her watch”.
“Tenth, the World Bank confirmed that 13 road projects were completed including 3 of the largest road and bridge projects in each geo-political zone. Also, the Bank regretted that it was not possible to interview many contractors in order to obtain independent confirmation of amounts spent on individual projects, and record their comments on project status. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain exactly happened, and to identify unconfirmed individual projects, including the largest roads and bridges completed”.
“Eleventh, the World Bank confirmed that no special arrangements were made for project selection and monitoring. According to the Bank, ‘Given the weakness of general budget reporting systems at the moment, this decision greatly undermined the opportunity for tracking the returned Abacha funds and analysis of their utilization’. Nigerians would like Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala to explain why this was the case under her watch”.

Biafra: Protests Legitimate, But ‘No Alternative to One Nigeria’ – FG

By     No comments:
Biafra-protesters

The grievances being expressed by some Nigerian youths, largely in the South East, have been described as “completely legitimate” by the federal government.
The last couple of weeks has seen economic and business activities in the South East geo-political zone grounded to a halt by pro-Biafra protesters, who are demanding for an independent Biafran Republic, following what they term their alleged marginalization in the scheme of things in the country.
The protesters are also demanding the unconditional release of the founder of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and Executive Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.
Speaking on the frightening dimension the protests are beginning to assume, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, however traced the basic cause of the agitations to “economic” factors, which would have gotten worse, but for the pragmatic efforts of the current administration.
Speaking at a News Agency of Nigeria Forum in Abuja at the weekend, Mr. Mohammed appealed to leaders in the country not to exploit the economic situation to further destabilize Nigerians.
He also urged Nigerian leaders to be courageous enough to come out and defend the unity of the country even though “in the short term it might be politically fashionable for them to be on the side of some agitators”.
The minister, who noted that current agitations by citizens were “completely legitimate,” assured of the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening the economy.
“There are many political frontlines in Nigeria, religious, ethnic and the like but these things do not come to the fore until when there are serious economic problems like we are having today.
“I have listened to the complaints of many of these agitators and right down it is economic.
“They must understand too that but for this furtiveness of this administration, this country would have been by far much worse.
“There is need for Nigerians to understand also that these are not ordinary times and that the government is not just making excuses.
“I appeal to our leaders not to exploit this situation to further destabilise Nigerians; our leaders should be courageous enough to come out and defend our unity.
“In the short term, it might be politically fashionable for them to be on the side of some agitators but in the long term, it is in the overall interest of Nigeria that we all understand our differences, respect them forge a united Nigeria.
“There will be no alternative to one united Nigeria”.
The minister emphasised the need for government to have accurate and timely information on complaints presented by citizens.
“The most important thing is that the government must do a lot of self-assessment itself.
“The government has the responsibility to listen to all; it also has the responsibility to analyse issues to see which complaints are genuine and those that are not and look into them”.
He also stressed the need for the government to take advantage of different media platforms to make accurate information on its policies and plans available to citizens at all times.
He said that the availability of timely information would curtail agitations, rebuff rumours, and enhance citizens’ understanding of government’s plans and policies.
The minster urged the media to take advantage of available opportunities to “dominate” the social media platforms with positive and accurate information about the country.
He further said that such dominance would pre-empt negative information and activities on such platforms.
“At times some of the agitations might be because the government is not adequately publicising what it is doing.
“Some of the agitations could also arise from lack of understanding of government policies.
“Unfortunately, we have allowed the social media to dictate the agenda for us; that must stop immediately.
“If, for instance, we dedicate platforms that churn out positive stories, very soon other negative platforms become irrelevant.
“It is only the absence of an alternative narrative with the correct information that makes such other platforms relevant”.
He stated that churning out accurate information will present a positive image of Nigeria to the international community.

Why Jonathan Gave Dokpesi N2.1bn Contract Paid For By Ex-NSA Dasuki – Family

By     No comments:
Aleogho Raymond Dokpesi

The family of the Chairman Emeritus of Daar Communications PLC, owners of Raypower and AIT broadcast stations, Aleogho Raymond Dokpesi, on Saturday said the N2.1 billion received by their patriarch from a former National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki was not for political campaigns as widely speculated.
Dokpesi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is currently in custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, which is investigating how over $2.2 billion budgeted for arms procurement in the past Goodluck Jonathan administration were spent.
Shortly after he reportedly honoured an invitation by the anti-graft agency, Daar Communications issued a statement saying the money he received was for “publicity and media political campaigns during the 2015 general elections”.
The company added that its founder had explained to EFCC investigators that the funds were for “the various media exposures and campaign transactions which were dutifully carried out based essentially on contractual obligations/relationship”.
But the Dopkesi family on Saturday countered the statement by Daar, denying that the funds were for political campaigns.
The family in a statement signed by Raymond Dokpesi Jnr., said: “We will like to make it abundantly clear that Dr. Dokpesi’s Daar Investment and Holdings Company Ltd, developed a proposal presented to the Former President Goodluck Jonathan proposing a Multi Media Strategic Development Support Project to promote and project the achievements and highlight the challenges of his government whilst demystifying false information gleefully circulated by the propaganda machinery of the then opposition party”.
The statement also said the proposal was submitted to the former president in person by Mr. Dokpesi and his team in the presence of the former Vice President, Namadi Sambo and former NSA at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
“We must further emphasize that the proposal had absolutely nothing to do with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nor the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC)”, the family said.
The statement said the proposal was “thoroughly studied, approved and paid for by the Presidency through the office of the National Security Adviser” which “has multiple budgetary sub-heads including for communication and information”.
The family argued that the proposal was aimed at the promotion and propagation of information to sustain and stabilize the government.
Mr. Dokpesi Jnr said his family was shocked that President Muhammadu Buhari, who claimed to have been popularly elected about six months ago, would embark on a “wide scale propaganda, misinformation and brazen falsehood just to achieve its objective of decimating its perceived political opponents and supporters of the previous administration”.
The statement note that Mr. Dokpesi remained a law-abiding and consummate patriot “who has served Nigeria to the best of his ability”.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Dr. Dokpesi has never applied nor bidded for a contract for the purchase of arms, nor has he ever been registered with the Ministry of Defence for the similar objective of engaging in the supply of arms for the government”, the family said.
The family, however, expressed the confidence that their patriarch would be exonerated at the end of the day.
The Dokpesi family then called on the Buhari administration to rigorously investigate all political and economic crimes “before embarking on a media trial and sentencing even before the law courts of Nigeria have an opportunity to adjudicate”.

A Norwegian newspaper has apologised to its readers after publishing a death notice for “Father Christmas”. The fictional death announcement was for “Dear Father Christmas, born 12 December 1788”, said to have died on 3 December in Nordkapp, Norway’s northernmost point.
The funeral was to be held on 28 December at the “North Pole Chapel”. Norway’s second-biggest selling newspaper blamed an error in its internal procedures.
“Aftenposten has strict guidelines for both the content and use of symbols in our obituaries. This ad is a violation of these and should never have been published,” it said in a statement (in Norwegian).
“We will find out what has happened,” it added. Aftenposten said it had removed the classified advertisement from its website after it was made aware of its error.

China Pledges $60bn To Develop Africa

By     No comments:
Xi-Jinping-china_2539711b

China has announced $60bn (£40bn) of assistance and loans for Africa to help with the development of the continent. President Xi Jinping said the package would include zero-interest loans as well as scholarships and training for thousands of Africans.
The Chinese leader made the announcement at a major summit between China and Africa in Johannesburg. The momentum of rapid growth in Africa was “unstoppable”, Mr Xi told more than 35 African heads of state. South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma, who is joint host at the summit, welcomed Africa and China’s deepening partnership.
“China has become Africa’s largest trade partner, and Africa is now one of China’s major import sources and fourth largest investment destination. This partnership can only yield further positive results for Africa’s development,” Mr Zuma said. China’s announcement of grants, loans and development funds was widely anticipated, although the figure exceeded expectations.
Much of this additional assistance is likely to be focused on infrastructure projects, to help boost economic development but more details on the deal are yet to emerge. President Zuma said that China and the African continent each made up a third of the world’s population, bringing the possibility of new markets and production possibilities.

Nigerians Expelled From Senegal Stadium For Displaying Biafra Flags

By     No comments:
Nigeria U23 team: www.soccernet.com.ng

Some Nigerian football fans were on Saturday expelled from a football stadium in Senegal for displaying Biafran flags.

The fans were expelled minutes after they displayed Biafran flags alongside Nigerian flags at a football match between Nigeria and Algeria at the U-23 African Cup of Nations holding in Dakar, the Senegalese capital.

There have been protests in South-East Nigeria by Igbos who demand for a separate Biafran country. Biafra was also the name adopted by the Eastern Nigeria during the civil war between 1967 and 1970, after which a ‘no victor, no vanquish’ was declared by the federal government after Biafra was defeated.

On Saturday, the Senegalese football association officials considered the display of the Biafran flags at the Leopold Sedar Senghor stadium “a militant act”.

As a result, the Vice President of the Senegalese Football Federation, FSF, Amadou Kane, who was in charge of the organisation, ordered security officials to respond by tearing down the Biafran flags and posters and expelling the supporters involved.

Senegalese FA officials said the group took advantage of the presence of the media at the stadium to raise the Biafran flag.

Dressed in T-shirts with the Biafra logo, eye witnesses said the group “invaded” the left wing of the covered pavilion to flaunt the Biafran flag alongside that of Nigeria. They later displayed a large flag calling for Biafran autonomy.

The match eventually ended 0-0 with Nigeria coming second in Group B with five points, behind Algeria.

Nigeria will face Senegal in the semi-final next week while Algeria will battle South Africa.
