In a heart-warming tribute to her husband of 20 years, Celine Dion sang 'The First Time I Ever I Saw Your face', as home videos of her family played in the background at her concert in Vegas.
Smiling bravely through his pain, cancer-stricken René Angélil offered a gentle wave to fans of his wife, Celine Dion.

Rene can be seen giving a tender wave in one clip, which appeared to be recent, while another showed him communicating with giggling son Nelson using his hands.

 

The former manager has battled three bouts of cancer, and is unable to speak due to extensive surgery on his throat.

During the show, the crowd cheered whenever Celine’s husband could be seen on the large screen behind her.

She said that Rene had encouraged her to return to her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

'I didn't want to be here at first, I don't need it,' Celine explained. 'Don't get me wrong, I love singing for people, but I have priorities. But Rene really gave me a gift.'

According to the National Enquirer, Celine was hoping that Rene would be able to sit front row when she returned on August 27, but he was not well enough.

Instead, he watched the concert on a live feed in the couple’s Nevada home.

Celine and Rene met when she was 12 and she describes him as ‘the only boyfriend I’ve ever had’.

Olu Falae, has revealed that six Fulani herdsmen kidnapped him on Monday and made him trek 30km from Ilado where he was taken, to Owo.

He also said he was made to sleep in the bush for three days as the kidnappers changed their locations every four hours.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on Wednesday directed the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to ensure the rescue of the former minister.

While speaking with Governor Olusegun Mimiko, who paid him a visit at his residence in Obaile, Mr. Falae said he believed the herdsmen were working for Boko Haram.
The Afenifere chieftain said he was made to sleep on the bare floor throughout his stay with his captors.
A family source, who said he was present when Mr. Falae explained his ordeal, said he was not certain if ransom was paid.

“Baba has just narrated his ordeal to some of us. His abductors made him to trek from his farm to Owo. Baba also said he was sleeping on the ‎ground since his kidnap,” the source said.
“We can’t say if any ransom was paid for his release. According to Baba, when he told the kidnappers that his family only had N2million, they asked him if he thought the amount was enough for‎ Boko Haram.”

Mr. Arase had told journalists that no ransom was paid before Mr. Falae secured his freedom, adding that policemen had been making effort to rescue the former minister since Monday.

Speaking on what he looks for in a woman, he says,

“As far as women go you have to be damn near amazing for me to take you seriously. Most women that I come across these days, in hip hop and what not, aren’t really worth the time. All the real women are in the workplace but I mean you can’t just walk in a building and be like, ‘yeah it’s you’, you know what I mean? So you have to wait until you meet somebody by chance or something like that, and you know that gets old so you end up fingering in the park.”

Hopefully, this would put an end to the beef, just as far as Chris Breezy buys the story.

“Kylie Jenner unfortunately appears to have had way too many fillers injected into her cheeks and lips and they appear completely unnatural, as they are out of proportion to the rest of her face,” celebrity plastic surgeon, Dr. Tony Youn, tells Radar Online.

“I suspect that she’s had several syringes of filler injected into her lips, maybe even as many as 10 syringes,” he adds.“Hopefully the appearance that we are seeing is temporary swelling…If not, then I STRONGLY recommend that she stop treatments before it is too late.”

Dr. Youn, who has not worked with the teen, continues, “This could turn into a major problem for her and she will end up ruining her face!”

Another surgeon, Dr. Susan Evans, believes that the reality star has “been injected with the longer lasting hyaluronic acid that increases volume…Her lips are so big now that it has created a fold from her nose to the corners of her lips.”

Dr. Evans, who has also not worked with Kylie, says the procedures have left her looking “over-done and significantly older. It’s a good thing that American-approved fillers don’t last forever.”

Ojukwu Bunker is part of the National War Museum and its annex at Okpara Avenue, all in Umuahia, Abia State.
The bunker, constructed during the civil war after the fall of Enugu, was the subterranean office for the Biafran government. The premises belonged to Late Dr. Michael I. Okpara, the second Premier of Eastern Nigeria from December 17, 1959 to January 15, 1966.
The plan was drawn on April, 1968 by Frank Mbanefo Associates. Frank Mbanefo was from Onitsha, Anambra State. Structural design was done by Agbim and partners. Dr. Chuba Agbim was from Amaru Village in Nimo, Anambra State.
The superintendent who handled the workers was Late Mr. Laurence O. Okany from Ogidi, Anambra State. The construction was done by Engineer Joel Onyemelukwe of Nnewi-Ichi, Nnewi, Anambra State.
The bunker measures 26.9 feet deep, about 8 meters. It was done under 90 days, between April to June 1968. All the people involved in the construction of the bunker were less than 40 years old...sEE MORE PHOTOS

Falae, who is a Chieftain of Afenifere, was abducted on Monday afternoon by suspected herdsmen at his farmland in Ilado, Akure North Government area of Ondo state.

The rescued team was led by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Solomon Arase, who arrived the state on Thursday morning. Arase, reportedly led other policemen to the farm of Falae, where he 
was later rescued from his abductors.

It was not clear if the policemen and Falae’s kidnappers engaged in gun battle before the elder statesman was released. But, it was gathered that Falae was rescued in a bush in Owo Local government, DailyPost reports.

Falae, who arrived his house along Oba-ile road in Akure and accompanied by the I.G, refused to speak with newsmen.

But, he only told the Governor, Olusegun Mimiko that he had a bad experience from his abductors and that he was made to sleep on the floor for the three days he spent in the captivity.

The I.G, while speaking with newsmen, said no ransom was paid to the hoodlums before Falae was released.

Arase neither denied or confirmed if any arrest was made during the rescue’s operation. He said:

 “Security challenges like this are new trend. They are emerging trend. It is not only localised in Nigeria. It is a global thing. We are going to devise strategies to ensure that hoodlums cannot overwhelm a state. It is not possible. 

We will continue to disgrace them, we will continue to catch them. Right from Monday when he was kidnapped, policemen had been working underground. No ransom was paid. I will let you know if anybody was apprehended later.‎”

Mimiko said:

“We are happy he is back. We thank God he is back both safe and sound.‎ We are just happy that he is back. Number one, I was praying he would come back safely because there could be very seriously security dimensions to it.
“So, we thank God he is back. Naturally, one is also worried that issue of kidnapping is taking another dimension in Nigeria, for a person of his pedigree, he was taken from his farm.”
