President Muhammadu Buhari has warned those agitating for the Republic of Biafra as well as Niger Delta militants who are destroying oil installations in the region.
Speaking at the State House in Abuja

Tuesday night at the breaking of fast dinner for members of the Federal Executive Council, Buhari asked Biafra agitators and the militants to reflect “very seriously” on the Civil War of 1967-1970 “where about two million Nigerians lost their lives.”

He said: “And at that time, as young military officers, you hardly heard of anything about petroleum or whatever money you got from it. Look at what Gen. Gowon said `To keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done’ and every soldier whether he has been to school or not knew what the general meant.

“But we were quarrelling with our brothers, we were not fighting an enemy and then somebody is saying that once again, he wants Biafra. I think this is because he was not born when there was Biafra. We have to reflect on the historical antecedents to appreciate what is before us now and what we intend to leave for our children and our grand children.”

President Buhari also said that “Leading the people is not a joke. It means accepting responsibilities for good or wrong.”
The president also stated that Nigeria needed a lot of prayers in view of the current economic and security challenge.

“We need a lot of prayers. Certainly, with the nation’s economy going down. We haven’t developed the agriculture, we’re still trying to talk on those who’ll come and develop the solid mineral for us,” he said. Buhari said Ramadan provides leaders the opportunity to be more conscious of their responsibilities to the citizens.

“It strengthens our resolve to build our country to make it stronger and to make sure that the incoming generations are sufficiently motivated to be patriotic. It’s no news that we are the biggest country in Africa, we’re the economy engine of Africa, which are true by the way. But, we must always be patriotic in our dealings with others.

“This month of prayers and service to God, let’s keep on these prayers all the times, believing that God in His infinite mercy will listen to our prayers, give us peace, security and better the economy once more so that we can quickly rebuild and even do more for the country

Engineers have revealed a radical new way to save plane passengers in the event of an emergency.

The design shows an aircraft with a detachable cabin that releases in emergency situations.

During take-off, landing or flight, the redesigned cabin detaches from the plane and safely lands on the ground or water– saving everyone’s lives on board.

The Engineer has revealed a design for an aircraft with a detachable cabin in case the Engines catch on fire

‘Surviving in a plane crash is possible,’ Vladimir Tatarenko, aviation engineer, told LiveLeak.

‘While aircraft engineers all over the world are trying to make planes safer, they can do nothing about the human factor.’

Tatarenko is that mastermind behind the design and has been working on this project for the past three years, according to Independent.

Parachutes are attached to the roof of the cabin that are instantly released when the cabin is detached from the plane.

There are also rubber tubes that inflate to cushion the impact to the ground or water, and the inflatable devices seem strong enough to keep the cabin afloat.

‘The existing technology of using of Kevlar and carbon composites for fuselage, wings, flaps, spoilers, ailerons, tail will be used during the design,’ Tatarenko explained.

‘It allows to partly compensate the weight of parachute system.’

The design includes a storage space that holds passengers’ luggage underneath the cabin, so there won’t be any lost luggage during the flight if it has to detach.

Independent explained viewers of the demonstration video have mixed reactions to the innovation

Some are all for the cutting-edge design, while others are skeptical and feel it’s impractical.

A few reservations pertain to the potential impact on the rest of the plane, the possibility of the detached cabin smashing into mountains or buildings and the escape plan for the pilots.

One person commented: ‘Of the millions of flights a year, less than 500 people die worldwide a year from plane crashes.’

NUMBERS SHOW IT’S STILL SAFER TO FLY

You have a greater chance of dying in an automobile accident, which is one in 5,000.

There are 12.25 fatalities per million flight deaths.

A plane crashes one out of 1.2 million flights.

There is a 24% survival rate of passengers on a fatal crash.

There were 111 plane crashes in 2014, which went down from 138 in 2013. 

‘It Seems not terribly cost effective’

While another had concerns too: ‘This whole concept dramatically weakens the airframe because now you have joints and fittings to connect a fuselage and a body together where once you had a whole fuselage to reinforce the airframe.’

However, a questionnaire conducted by the inventor found that 95% of people would be willing to buy a more expensive ticket in order to use such a safety system.

Cushions attached to the bottom of the cabin make landing smooth and comfortable

This isn’t the first design the Ukrainian engineer has produced.

Last year, Tatarenko received patents for an invention with an escape capsule system that would rescue passengers on board.

The Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF) in a statement issued on Wednesday, June 22 claimed it had been approached by some officers to help to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari.

Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman who is the spokesperson of the army denied the claim and tagged it as a dangerous speculation.

The management of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) has declared free train service for all commuters across the country.



The Managing Director of the NRC, Mr Fidet Okhiria, made the announcement on Wednesday in Rigasa, Kaduna State in Nigeria’s northeast region.

He said the free train service, which would last for two weeks, would enable Nigerians know that the corporation was fully set for commercial services.

Speaking after inspecting the railway facilities put in place by the corporation, Mr Okhiria advised Nigerians to de-congest the highways.

He urged them to embrace the use of train services for the transportation of goods and passengers.

Complementing the NRC boss’ appeal, the project supervisor at the construction site, Mr Lv Feng, assured all commuters of safety and efficient service.

The Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has flagged-off the 4.6km Faulks Road, Aba, starting from Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway to Brass junction by Aba-Owerri road, through Ukwu-Mango.
Speaking at the event, the Governor said that the contractor, SETRACO company will construct pipes to carry storm water from Ifeobara basin, near Ukwu-Mango to Aba river and disclosed that the work will gulp the some of #6.8 billion.
He advised anybody who built at Ifeobara area to remove it, assuring that anything blocking the area will be demolished as his administration is out to recover Ifeobara basin which is the main cause of the seemingly intractable flooding in the area.
Dr. Ikpeazu who said that he is in administration to do good stated that he will be supervising the the road regularly stressing that the road will be widened to give Ariaria the international status it deserves.

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana has said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has the right to investigate and prosecute the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, even as a sitting governor.
Falana quoted judicial precedents and legal instruments, which he said, justified the decision of the anti-graft commission to investigate and freeze Fayose’s bank accounts.

The human rights lawyer in a statement on Wednesday said Fayose could not rely on section 308 of the 1999 Constitution to escape criminal act. He said the immunity clause did not come to play in criminal investigation of a sitting governor or a sitting president.
According to Falana, Fayose’s diverse criminal antecedents ranged from the looting of N1.2 billion from the state’s treasury in 2004 to alleged involvement in the murder of Tunde Omojola and the 2014 Ekiti governorship election rigging.

He said that the EFCC was currently being investigated in connection “to a coup, which led to the re-election of Fayose” in the Ekiti State governorship held on June 21, 2014.

Falana added that in view of the fact that the effect of section 308 of the 1999 Constitution had been watered down, Fayose could not invoke the immunity clause to shield himself from investigation.”
“While not challenging the allegation by the EFCC that the sum of N1.3 billion has been traced to his personal account, Mr. Fayose has attempted to hide under the immunity clause to shield himself from investigation.

Contrary to the governor’s claim he does not enjoy immunity from investigation with respect to his criminal involvement in treasonable conduct and corrupt practices.

“It is trite law that all the public officers protected by Section 308 of the Constitution can be investigated for corruption and other criminal offences.

Notwithstanding that the allegation is completely baseless, I fully support the investigations. I do not need to instigate the anti-graft agencies to enquire into the activities of a serial treasury looter.

“Having admitted his involvement in the coup which occurred in Ekiti State which culminated in his emergence as the Ekiti State governor, Fayose ought to be prosecuted for treason which arose from the electoral malfeasance,” he said.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo told the National Union of Local Government Emplpoyers on Wednesday that he lacks the power to grant their demand – the restoration of the local government structure.

Ibrahim Khaleel led the leadership of the NULGE to Obasanjo’s Hilltop Mansion in Abeokuta, Ogun state, to seek his help in giving the local governments more power and make them more effective.

But Obasanjo said his ‘crippled’ self can’t do much – can only make noise – about their plight while he however, elected to blame state governors for the state of local governments.

“There is no exception to this bastardisation and encroachment by states. Even though both are supposed to be separate tiers of government, with each having its roles and functions, that is not the case anymore.”

“I wish I could help, but I am helpless. As it is, I can only help you to shout and talk to the world. I do not have any executive or legislative power. I am crippled.”

“But we shall continue to talk until those who are reasonable among them change this attitude.”

“I begin to wonder if they (states) can allow what they are doing to the local governments to be done to them.”

 The Federal Government has lined up 15 witnesses as it is set to open its case against Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Both men have been charged to court alongside the Clerk and Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Salissu Maikasuwa and Benedict Efeturi for allegedly forging the Senate Standing Rules 2015.

In the court summons pasted on the Notice Board of the National Assembly on Tuesday, about 15 witnesses were listed by the Federal Government to testify against the defendants.

Among the witnesses are Senator Solomon Ewuga, Senator Ita Enang, Senator Ajayi Borrofice, Senator Kabiru Marafa, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Abu Ibrahim, Senator Ahmad Lawan and David Igbodo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

The Senate has condemned the Federal Government for the charges and has said it is simply a ploy by the government to attempt to change the Senate leadership.

The Joint Military Force deployed to protect oil installations in the Niger Delta, Operation Pulo Shield, on Friday said it foiled an attack on Agip’s oilfield and arrested 19 suspected Militants in several operations in May and June 2016. Col. Isa Ado, Spokesman of the force, said in a statement said that troops have intensified patrols to forestall further destruction of oil facilities following renewed attacks in the region. According to Isa, troops while on patrol on June 9 along Brass water ways of Bayelsa foiled an attempt by suspected pipeline vandals to destroy Agip’s oil pipeline at Okpoma Community. He explained that the suspected vandals had dug and planted dynamites beneath the pipeline location in a swamp for detonation before the troops foiled the sabotage operation. The joint force recovered two dynamite detonators, cable wire and battery.

Ado said that on May 28, troops of the force deployed in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa along Ebelebiri and Agba communities arrested six suspected pipeline vandals and oil thieves. Eight Cotonou boats loaded with illegally acquired crude oil were destroyed while the suspects were handed over to the prosecuting agency. “On same day, troops in continuation of its raid on suspected pipeline vandals’ camps carried out cordon and search operation in Oporoma Community of Delta.

“Ten suspected pipeline vandals were arrested during the operation, one pistol, 195 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 14 handheld radio set, 30 detonating cords and several phones with SIM cards were recovered. “Other items recovered include diving equipment, one personal computer, Ipad, mobile phones and other items,” the statement read in part. Ado further stated that in a similar development, the Maritime Component of the Joint Force, the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Delta on May 26 and June 14, respectively, arrested three suspected coordinators of several pipeline bombings across the region.

Fiery cleric and the Spiritual Director, ‎Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria, AMEN, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has disclosed of his recent vision concerning President Muhammadu Buhari’s ailment.
‎Mbaka, who made the revelation in one of his Adoration programmes, stated that several efforts he made to reach people close to Buhari over the vision had remained unsuccessful as they refused picking his calls.

DAILY POST recalls that before the 2015 presidential election, Mbaka had also complained of how he was denied access to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The controversial priest later gave a New Year message, which was widely believed to have contributed to Jonathan’s defeat in the election.

On Buhari’s ailment, he declared that his chances of recovery may be slim but that with the prayer of the members of the congregation, he would receive healing.

He equally declared that there were some people who were not happy that Buhari was alive.

“Such people hate everything about the President”, he stated, while narrating the vision which he saw before the President’s present trip to London.

According to him, in the vision, the President was critically sick and was being flown abroad for treatment.

“His health was in a bad shape and he was asking that (Fr Mbaka) should pray for him. None among the people I have called, picked my calls.
“People think I speak with Buhari everyday. When people climb into power, they are dazed. It is a long dream. Our job is to pray for him but there are things that he must do and there is no way to communicate it to him”, Fr. Mbaka said.

He, therefore, asked the congregation to stand up and lift their hands up as he began to pray for the health and healing of President Buhari.

The prayer went thus: “We call on Michael the arch angel, Uriel the archangel, Gabriel the archangel to carry you in their wings back to life. They angels are bringing you back in their wings. In Psalm 79:11 the Lord restores those who have already being appointed to die. Are you the one that has been appointed to die? God himself will bring you back to life. Remember His word that when the thief comes to steal, kill you and destroy you, I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Have life now more abundantly in Jesus name Amen.

“We pray for our President and anyone that is suffering such a dangerous disease. We lift our healing hands for divine healing upon our president. Wherever he is, may he be healed in Jesus name Amen.

“The doctors in Nigeria are nursing fear that he may not survive but we have a healing God. His name is specialist in impossibilities. In Mathew 19:26, He can make the impossible, possible. In Mark 10:27 He can make the impossible, possible. In Luke 1:37, He can make the impossible, possible. In Jeremiah 32:17, He can make the impossible, possible. In Job 42:2, He can do all things and no purpose of His can be thwarted. Hallelujah.

“We stretch our hands of healing upon our President and you that may be sick here. I take you as somebody who is as if to say he is dead already. Have they said that you are dead and there is nothing that can be done in your situation? Have your kidney died? Have your liver died? Have your heart or any organ of your body been confirmed dead? Look at what happened in John 11:39. When Jesus asked them to open the tomb of Lazarus, they told him that by now he must be smelling for he was dead for about four days now. After all this, I heard Jesus talking in verse 43 telling Lazarus to come out. Let that thing that is dead come back to life in Jesus name Amen. Let your dead vision come back to life. Let your dead destiny come back to life. Let your dead passion come back to life in Jesus name Amen.


“Whatever is dead in your body should come back to life in Jesus name Amen. Your dead success, come back to life. Your dead business, come back to life. Your dead vocation, come back to life. Your dead gifts come back to life. God will show you the path to life.

“We stand in in Psalm 110:1 where the Lord said to my lord to sit at His right hand and I decree that You shall be the child of the right hand of God of Psalm 17:7, Psalm 31:15, psalm 31:5 and psalm 98:1.

“In the book of Mathew 27 the Bible says that when the blood Jesus dropped and he cried with a loud voice, the veils were torn. As this was happening the tombs opened. I stand in Matthew 27 and minister in verse 53 and 54. When the tomb opened, those who were dead in the tomb came back to life and move about the city. This was because the blood of Jesus dropped on the ground.

“As the blood of Jesus drops on the ground now, anybody here who has been killed and buried in the spirit and is just a moving corpse, let him or her come back to life now in Jesus name Amen. Let your spirit come back to life in Jesus name Amen. Is there any good thing or virtue in our country that has died or occultically being held bounds? I send the Holy Ghost fire upon every temple of Satan that is accommodating any name of the Child of God in Jesus name; Holy Ghost fire. Holy Ghost Fire!!!”

While concluding the prayer, he said “I want the enemies to see our President shining, prospering and moving majestically in glory. The chances of his healing may be little but now with our prayers and faith, the chances of his coming out is high.

“The spiritual energy with which we make this prayer is enormous that it shall do this for us. If you are ready for testimony, my God is ready with miracles.”

Nigerians are expecting the President, who has been away on a medical vacation, back to the country, tomorrow (Sunday).

 I’m not gonna remove anything from what Anon said. According to him, ‘ this President i am seeing is very weak and sick, and dumb, I doubt if he can make it to Nigeria. We pray he recovers else there would be serious wahala. you know the North would not want a Yoruba President, they would rather Saraki becomes their President’ ( I could not understand and still can not understand the relationship between saraki and aso rock). According to Anon, ‘Osinbande (actually he said Osibanjo, but you know na) should be very careful o.
