MUST READ : Niger Delta Avengers Releases Fresh Press Statement

By     No comments:
Reports from National dailies that two suspects Mr Christian Oluba alias Sensor, and Selky Kile Torughedi arrested by DSS are alleged members of Niger Delta Avengers is laughable, the fact is they are sleeper agents of the DSS sent after the Niger Delta Avengers.
The boys has the right to demand for their money from DSS, why not pay them instead of arresting and labeling them as Niger Delta Avengers members.
If DSS are denying this, let them allow the suspects to speak to the press. We (Niger Dleta Avengers) don’t have any connection with these boys. We dare the DSS to allow the boys to tell the world their side of the story.
DSS and Nigeria Army can’t win the Niger Delta war by feeding their President with false information about situation of things in the Region. It’s all-good because as it seems the DSS is now having internal crisis with most of their sleeper agents and it a sign that God is on our side.
There are problem in the Niger Delta region such as underdevelopment, environmental degradation, lack of infrastructure and the issue of self-determination. These are theareas Mr. President should focus on, not arresting their allies and linking them to Niger Delta Avengers.
This is to DSS Director Lawal Daura, this the holy month of Ramadan and as a Muslim you hold it to Allah and the Nigeria people to say the truth. Why not come out with the truth.
To the Nigeria press, there is always two sides to a story. Why not try to get the other side of the story by interviewing the boys
The Nigeria army will never get us (Niger Delta Avengers), let them go and settle with their sleeper agents and stop deceiving the general public and their President.

Brig. Gen Mudoch Agbinibo
Spokesperson

One Of 52 Soldiers Kidnapped By Avengers Reveals Shocking Secrets About The Avengers

By     No comments:
A Nigerian soldier who claimed that he was among 52 kidnapped by the Niger Delta Avengers earlier this year have said that the Avengers militants he came face to face with are nothing like any humans he has ever met in actual life.
He said that they are actually about 10 to 12 feet in height, and very heavily built. The soldier who didn’t give his name also informed our reporter that the Nigerian Army does not have the kind of weapons needed to fight the militants, and even if they do, cannot face the fierce, fiery looking men who abducted him and other 51 soldiers and held them for two weeks.
The soldier claimed that he was with 51 other soldiers, all of southern extraction save for one, and were sent to the creeks of Delta State to search for the militants and arrest them. “While we were moving, we didn’t really know exactly what happened, and all we heard is ‘drop your weapons!’ Then we saw them. They were giants. They were so large and fearful-looking, and they carried very large guns. Each of these guns can only be lifted by three soldiers, but each of them held one. My brother, they can break you like a stick”.
He further added that the militants took them to their camp, and allowed them to stay with them for two weeks. They also fed them, and returned their guns to them at the end of the two weeks.
“They returned our guns to us. They also gave us a comfortable sum of money and referred to us as ‘hungry Nigerian soldiers’. They said we should use the money to cater for our needs because the army is not paying us enough and we needed the money”.
When asked how the militants can be defeated, based on his observations, he said; “those people cannot be defeated. At least not by the Nigerian Army or any army like ours. Those guns, each of them had one, and the ones who arrest us alone are about 200. But there are less than 50 of such sophisticated guns in the whole nation. That’s probably why the president was begging them to take it easy with the bombings”.
The soldier also said that the only non-southern soldier that went with them on that mission was killed by the militants.
“When we were brought in to their camp, they began to ask us where we hailed from. Each of us mentioned our states of origin. But when the young soldier said he is a northerner, they picked him up and dumped him into a giant pot of boiling oil. I felt pity for him.”, the soldier ended.

“ISLAM IS A CULT, NOT a RELIGION”- Angola BANS ISLAM, ALL MOSQUES TO BE DEMOLISHED

By     No comments:

Angolan authorities  to ban Islam, which they consider a cult, NOT a religion.
They see what Muslims are doing to non-Muslims, especially in Africa, and are taking steps to prevent the same from happening in Angola.
The Angolan authorities decided to destroy the mosque Zango located in the urban district of Viana 17 km.
The governor of Luanda Bento announced in a radio spot that radical Muslims are not welcome in Angola and the Angolan government is not ready for the legalization of mosques in Angola.
The Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva said. “Regarding Islam, the legalization process has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. Therefore all mosques would be closed until further notice.”
It should be noted that the Angolan government has made closing of all mosques a priority. The only two mosques located in Luanda have already received a warning document signed by the mayor of the municipality of Viana José Moreno.
95% of Angola’s population is Christian. A quarter belongs to Protestant churches founded during the colonial period, including congregational evangelical church.
This decisive action taken by the Angolan head of state is based on a desire to guard against the rise of the Wahhabi ideology that has created havoc, death and destruction in Africa and elsewhere.

There is No Hell Fire; Adam And Eve Are Not Real Pope Francis Declares

By     No comments:

the loving nature of God are now being set aside by the Pope who was recently named The Man of The Year byTIME Magazine. In his latest revelations, Pope Francis said:
“Through humility, soul searching, and prayerful contemplation we have gained a new understanding of certain dogmas. The church no longer believes in a literal hell where people suffer. This doctrine is incompatible with the infinite love of God. God is not a judge but a friend and a lover of humanity. God seeks not to condemn but only to embrace. Like the fable of Adam and Eve, we see hell as a literary device. Hell is merely a metaphor for the isolated soul, which like all souls ultimately will be united in love with God.”
In a shocking speech that is reverberating across the world, Pope Francis declared that:

time-person-of-the-year-cover-pope-francisPin this!
“All religions are true, because they are true in the hearts of all those who believe in them. What other kind of truth is there? In the past, the church has been harsh on those it deemed morally wrong or sinful. Today, we no longer judge. Like a loving father, we never condemn our children. Our church is big enough for heterosexuals and homosexuals, for the pro-life and the pro-choice! For conservatives and liberals, even communists are welcome and have joined us. We all love and worship the same God.”

In the last six months, Catholic cardinals, bishops and theologians have been deliberating in the Vatican City, in discussing the future of the church and redefining long-held Catholic doctrines and dogmas. The Third Vatican Council, is the largest and most important since the Second Vatican Council was concluded in 1962.
Pope Francis convened the new council to “finally finish the work of the Second Vatican Council.”
The Third Vatican Council concluded with Pope Francis announcing that… Catholicism is now a “modern and reasonable religion, which has undergone evolutionary changes. The time has come to abandon all intolerance. We must recognize that religious truth evolves and changes. Truth is not absolute or set in stone. Even atheists acknowledge the divine. Through acts of love and charity the atheist acknowledges God as well, and redeems his own soul, becoming an active participant in the redemption of humanity.”
One statement in the Pope’s speech has sent traditionalists into a fit of confusion and hysteria… “God is changing and evolving as we are, For God lives in us and in our hearts. When we spread love and kindness in the world, we touch our own divinity and recognize it. The Bible is a beautiful holy book, but like all great and ancient works, some passages are outdated. Some even call for intolerance or judgement. The time has come to see these verses as later interpolations, contrary to the message of love and truth, which otherwise radiates through scripture. In accordance with our new understanding, we will begin to ordain women as cardinals, bishops and priests. In the future, it is my hope that we will have a woman pope one day. Let no door be closed to women that is open to men!”
A few cardinals in the Catholic church are against Pope Francis’ latest declarations. Watch out for the report.

Drake and Rihanna Officially Dating

By     No comments:

Normally, when they go out, they go separately and later meet up...more like, they go out of their way not to be seen together but it looks like things are a little different for them now. Rihanna and Drake were seen leaving Tape club at 5.30am on Friday night after partying together for the 4th night in a row. They actually walked out together.

E! News also reports that Drake and Rihanna are officially back together. According to E!, the feelings never faded on Drake's end and had wanted to go steady with Rihanna
"He still loves her and never stopped. Rihanna is the one that's been not wanting to settle down in the past. They are having fun spending time with each other. Their music together got them close again."

Heartbroken street hawkers Laments in Lagos - Lagos ban will affect us Terribly

By     No comments:

street hawkers in Lagos have bared their minds on how the Lagos ban on hawking will affect them.
Read what they told Punch's Arukaino Umukoro and Gbenga Adeniji:
We are hustlers not thieves
I hope that the government has provided jobs for us before taking the decision. If the situation is going to continue that way, it means that I have to start thinking of when to return to Ebonyi State. I have always wanted to go into rice farming.
But why are our leaders so wicked? They were promising the unemployed monthly salary before the last election but everything changed after the election. Now, they want us not to hawk again. I feed myself from the money I make. I do not have dependants but I cater for myself. I know that it is risky for us to be hawking on the road. But how do we survive?
We are not stealing. We are only trying to provide jobs for ourselves because the government has not been able to do so. In my own case, I have saved lives and continue to do so with what I hawk. I hawk sausages while some hawk cold water in traffic.
When drivers and passengers are hungry, they cannot get down from the car and find a place to eat. They only look around to see if they can find anybody hawking what they quickly buy to eat till they get to their destinations. Do you know how many lives would have been lost if these people have nothing to eat in traffic? I have saved more lives than whatever some of my colleagues did to warrant the decision. It is true that they are our leaders but they should know that we would want to do other jobs if they are available than hawking and risking our lives in traffic.
— Sunday
  • Gov’t should provide jobs for us
I try not to hawk in Lagos again because of the disturbance from officials of the Kick Against Indiscipline. If a total ban is what the Lagos State Government now places on hawking, then I cannot even consider hawking in the state again. We are suffering and there is no job to do. I am not happy hawking educational and hairstyle posters. I want a good job that can take me away from the street. But there is nothing I can do if I am yet to get such a job. I want the government to provide jobs for us. I cater for myself. The profit that I make on the posters that I hawk is not much. Each sells for N200. I will continue to pray and hope the situation improves in Nigeria. I am from Anambra State and my family members are aware that I am not a lazy person. If I get a better job than this, I will do it. I stay in the sun from morning till evening.  I have to hustle and I can’t steal. I just pray that the same thing will not happen in other states across the country.
— Ogbonna
  • Govt should pity us
I am not going to hawk in Lagos again if that is the new position of the state government on hawking. I would not want to go to jail. I also think it is bad for the government to take this kind of decision when it is aware that we are suffering. Many of the things we sell in traffic will perish if we have to stay in one place to sell them. For instance, I sell puff puff, which can get bad after few hours. We have to go out to look for customers and not the customers looking for us. I will be happy if the Lagos State Government can reconsider the decision and pity us. It will make things easy for us. I prefer to struggle to survive than steal. I have nobody except God.
—Paul
  • I survive on hawking
I have a daughter and I am doing this work because I didn’t go to school. I cannot get a good job.  Hawking soft drinks is a way to survive for me and my daughter. Sometimes, I make N1,000 on a good day but sometimes even less than that. Things are hard now and many people do not buy things from us as they used to do. I hope Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will pity us. He should not ban us from doing this job. This is the only trade I do.
— Maryam Akindele
  • I support my husband with hawking
I do not support the ban on hawking by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode because it does not help hawkers in any way. I sell bottled water, drinks and sausage rolls to support my husband and take care of my daughter. Even at that, it is not easy for us. If the governor wants us to stop this job, the state government should provide another job for us so that our families do not suffer.
— Aminat Taofeek
  • I feed three children as a widow
I don’t support the ban on hawking on the road by the Lagos State government. It will affect us because hawking is the only means of livelihood for me and my three children. My husband is late. I would not be doing this kind of work if my husband was still alive but harsh circumstances forced me into it. This trade is my source of livelihood. If the state government bans hawking, how do they want me and my children to feed and fend for ourselves? I don’t think it is fair on us. If they want to ban hawking, then they should build a market for us where we can stay to sell our goods.
— Zainab Suleiman
  • Ambode should give me N100,000 for business
I have heard about the ban on hawking by the Lagos State Government. But I don’t really know what to say about it. I am confused. Maybe the government feels it is a good thing, who am I to complain? But then, I think if the state government wants us to stop hawking our goods on the road, they should provide another source of livelihood for us. I don’t mind if Governor Akinwunmi Ambode can give me like N70,000 or N100,000 to start a business. I won’t hawk again once I get the money as support. But for now, this is the only business I know how to do. Lagos State Government should help us.
— Bukky Wasilat
  • Ban’ll affect my family
My family feeds from the proceeds of hawking. How does the government want us to survive if they stop us from hawking? On a good day, I make about N800 or N1000 selling sausage rolls. But every day, we are forced to pay the local government council N200 before we can ply our trade. Two hundred naira from the small amount we make every day is a lot. Not only that, it is from that amount that I pay for my transport fare daily. I hawk from Alagbado to Ikeja every day to sell my wares. At the end of the day, I only have a small amount as profit. The total ban on our trade will affect us greatly.

Man Attempting To Behead Wife In Public But Was Attacked By bystanders

By     No comments:
A horrifying video footage which shows a man trying to behead his 'wife' in public before he is stopped by an angry mob  has just hit the internet.

The 'husband', wearing a blue shirt, is seen at the start of the film holding a woman, presumed to be his wife, on the ground. Pinning her down he appears to be attempting to slash her neck.

He is surrounded by an angry mass of neighbours and bystanders who begin to attack him. One sneaks up behind and boots him in the back, before another throws a brick at his head.

The video, which is reportedly shot in Cairo, Egypt, then shows the woman rise to her feet and make her escape. A pool of blood is then seen where she was previously lying down during the attack.

Dozens of people force the 'husband' back against a wall.
They launch missiles at the man and chase him down the street before the footage cuts out.

The uploader of the video, posted to LiveLeak on Friday, reports that the incident occurred in Egypt and that the woman was 'ok'.

Abia Crisis: Ogah Goes Underground As He Plots Swearing-in

By     No comments:
The newly appointed ‘governor of Abia State’, Sampson Ogah, has taken refuge at an unknown location in Umuahia, the state capital, as he awaits his swearing-in, an aide has told PREMIUM TIMES.
Mr. Ogah arrived Umuahia with the certificate of return issued to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday, hoping to be sworn in that day or Friday.
But the incumbent governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, refused to vacate office, saying he had appealed the judgment that led INEC to withdraw his certificate of return.
In a telephone interview with PREMIUM TIMES late Friday, Mr. Ogah’s media aide, Peter Kalu, said his principal decided to take shelter at an undisclosed location to avoid being attacked.
Mr. Kalu said a lot of threats had been directed towards Mr. Ogah, saying the politician would remain in hiding as he awaits the emergence of the State Chief Judge, Theresa Uzoukwu, who had not been seen since Thursday.
Ms. Uzoukwu is believed to be hiding somewhere outside Umuahia as pressured mounted on her to administer the oath of office on Mr. Ogah.
Mr. Kalu said Mr. Ogah’s lawyers were currently working to ensure that he was sworn in within acceptable legal framework if Ms. Uzoukwu remained in hiding for too long.

Militants Attacks Governor’s Office,Takes Deputy Governor Hostage

By     No comments:
gunmen suspected to be militants have reportedly attacked the Cross River state governor’s office in Calabar the state capital. Reports suggest that over 20 suspected Bakassi militants on Friday, July1 invaded the office to apparently express anger over alleged abandonment of the Bakassi returnees by the government. Investigations reveal that the group arrived the state’s seat of power shortly after the Deputy Governor, Ivara Esu, reported for duties. A source, who pleaded not to be named because she is not authorized to speak on the matter, said the suspected militants invaded the Government House at about 10am and for several hours held Mr Esu and the staff hostage. According to the source, the daredevil militants boldly told the people that they belonged to the Bakassi Volunteer Force.
It’s leader, who gave his name as “Capon,” boasted that his group were out to compel the government to release their monthly amnesty stipend, which has been withheld for several months. He noted that the decision to stage the blockade was unanimously taken by the group to draw global attention to the deplorable way the Bakassi indigenes had been treated by the present administration in the state and country. The Capon insisted that Bakassi people, who were displaced when Nigeria handed over their ancestral homes to the Republic of Cameroon, were being treated like slaves by government. He explained that the group had in the past made several efforts to dialogue with the government but said the governor showed no interest in dealing with the problem facing them. We will shut down the governor’s office if nothing is done in the next few days.” The Chief press secretary to the Governor, Christian Ita, confirmed the invasion by the militants.
