Yesterday, there was panic in Owerri as stories of a
hungry lion allegedly escaping from the Nekede Zoo on
May 13, 2014, Tuesday, threw the residents into
confusion.
The shocked residents were said to have closed their
shops and ran home for their safety, while some
parents raced to their children's schools to pick them
up.
It was later discovered that it was a false alarm and
the source of the false alarm was arrested and
detained by the police for questioning on why he
decided to create such panic and anxiety among the
people.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO,
Mr. Andrew Enwerem, the police heard about the false
alarm and reacted immediately by putting the citizens
at ease.
"After proper investigation, it was discovered that it
was a false alarm. The alarmist has been arrested by
the police. He is cooling his heels in our custody. He
must tell us why he decided to raise the false alarm
that created anxiety and confusion among the people,"
Enwerem said.
He therefore called on the people of Imo state to go
about their normal business and disregard the false
alarm, which had no basis in the first place.

I've even gone so far as to verbalize it specifically, time is too precious to waste on trivial arguments and negativities. I'd rather get on to the more fun and rewarding stuff right away!
