The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will today announce the release of results of May/June 2015 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
WAEC may also release list of debtor states, owing about N4billion.
WAEC Head of National Office, Lagos, Mr. Charles Eguridu, had at a briefing in Lagos two weeks ago, threatened to withhold results of candidates in those states.
Eguridu, who did not mention the states, threatened to do so if they failed to pay within a fortnight from his disclosure.
The federal government had backed WAEC’s threat to withhold results.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. MacJohn Nwaobiala, while interacting with State House correspondents after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari late July, urged the affected states to redeem their pledges to avoid embarrassment.
