Civilians Kill 200 Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno attack yesterday

By     No comments:

The rise of the civilians against terror took the Boko
Haram saga to a new turn in the early hours of
Tuesday morning when citizens of Rann,
headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area,
Borno northeast, who had fore-knowledge of an
impending Boko Haram attack, decided not to remain
sitting ducks but prepared for battle.
According to reports we received from Civilian sources
in Borno, over 400 Boko Haram terrorists stormed
Rann and neighboring villages in the early hours of
Tuesday, with their usual convoy of hilux trucks,
motorcycles and APC (Armored Personnel Carriers)
only to meet villagers ready for them this time. The
civilian villagers pounced on the terrorists with mere
rocks, bows and arrows, local Dane guns, swords
and “charms,” but as we have earlier reported, Boko
Haram are more frightened of Civilian-JTF than they
are of the Nigerian army, and run from the civilians
even if they - the civilians only have knives

The battle raged till the sun came up and ended with
the civilians killing over 200 Boko Haram terrorists,
capturing several prisoners and recovering several of
their vehicles.
From an account of a civilian who participated in
defending the neighborhoods, as reported in
DailyTrust, “Our people also recovered over 70
motorcycles that the attackers came with. They also
collected 2 Hilux vehicles and an Armoured Personnel
Carrier (APC) while some of the attackers were captured
alive.” [Daily Trust ]
This amazing victory of good over evil, promises a new
direction in the war against terror that has wrecked
hundreds of farming villages in the north of Nigeria in
the last four years, largely unchecked by State security.
Civilians determined to arrest a situation they believe
the Nigerian security services has permitted to destroy
their farming villages in various towns in the north
east, have apparently decided take up a fighting
posture against Boko Haram terrorists; no longer
waiting for a military response that hardly ever comes.
Last week, Boko Haram terrorists ravaged Gondura
Ngala town, freely without any hindrance from the
Nigerian military drafted to the north, and decimated
the entire town, killing over 300 residents. On April
14th, Boko Haram stormed Chibok and abducted over
200 girls. In that episode, Amnesty International
reported that the Nigerian security services were fully
informed of the impending attack, by civilian vigilantes
and other Intel, several hours prior, yet did not alert or
defend the village nor engage the terrorists for a full
eight hours of the abduction, looting and destruction
of the village.
A mother from Chibok reportedly told CNN, that “if the
army is not ready to fight Boko Haram, then we will
fight them ourselves.” Apparently that day has come.
The Civilian-JTF and ENDS.ng civil rights group is
pressing the Nigerian government for the civilians to
have the right and government support, to bear arms,
to end the terror scourge once and for all. The
government is yet to officially respond to this urgent
request as villagers remain at the mercy of Boko Haram
terrorists.
The Shehu of Bama is reported to have ordered his
citizens to go get guns, after his town was completely
decimated twice by Boko Haram terrorists with no
military response for the full eight hours of carnage.
More towns are expected to follow suit as the nations
leadership sleeps and permits terrorists the largely
unhindered freedom to operate, massacre and destroy
Nigeria’s farmers and northern farming villages.

By     No comments:

Yesterday, there was panic in Owerri as stories of a
hungry lion allegedly escaping from the Nekede Zoo on
May 13, 2014, Tuesday, threw the residents into
confusion.
The shocked residents were said to have closed their
shops and ran home for their safety, while some
parents raced to their children's schools to pick them
up.
It was later discovered that it was a false alarm and
the source of the false alarm was arrested and
detained by the police for questioning on why he
decided to create such panic and anxiety among the
people.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO,
Mr. Andrew Enwerem, the police heard about the false
alarm and reacted immediately by putting the citizens
at ease.
"After proper investigation, it was discovered that it
was a false alarm. The alarmist has been arrested by
the police. He is cooling his heels in our custody. He
must tell us why he decided to raise the false alarm
that created anxiety and confusion among the people,"
Enwerem said.
He therefore called on the people of Imo state to go
about their normal business and disregard the false
alarm, which had no basis in the first place.

A Chibok mother identifies daughter on video of abducted schoolgirls...

By     No comments:

A mother of one of the abducted Chibok schoolgirl has
identified her daughter in a video posted by Islamist
sect, Boko Haram, which showed dozens of girls in
captivity, a school leader said on Tuesday.
The mother watched the video on television on Monday
evening and spotted her daughter among the girls
sitting on the ground and wearing veils, said Dumoma
Mpur, parent-teachers association chairman at
Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.
The leader of rebel group, Abubakar Shekau, issued the
video on Monday offering to release more than 200
schoolgirls, who were kidnapped from the school in a
raid on April 14, in exchange for prisoners held by the
government. It was not immediately apparent when the
video of the girls was filmed.
“The video got parents apprehensive again after
watching it but the various steps taken by the
governments and the coming of the foreign troops is
boosting our spirit, even though I have not seen the
any one soldier in Chibok yet,” Mpur told Reuters by
telephone.
The Nigerian government said it was exploring all
options in its effort to rescue the girls. The United
States and Britain have sent experts to help with the
search and Nigeria has sent two divisions to the
northeastern border region.

"...You hit my sister..I hit you.." -- Solange Knowles tweets...The real cause of the Solange/ Jay Z elevator fight revealed.

By     No comments:

Yesterday, the hiphop world were shocked when TMZ
released a video obtained of Beyonce’s husband, Jay
Z, and her sister, Solange Knowles getting physical
in an elevator at The Standard Hotel after the Met
Gala.
There's ve been never ending speculation of what
the real cause of the tussle would have been with
none of them speaking out or releasing a statement
yet. However with reports the Beyonce and Solange
attended Kelly Rowland's secret wedding just days
later, speculations were rife that Jay might have hurt
Beyonce who never speaks out. Solange hates the
way Jay treats Bey and wasn't going to take it this
time and that was the reason Beyonce who stood and
watched her sister hit her husband, never interfered
cos Solange was defending her.
A Twitter user shared the screenshot below, claiming
that Solange posted the tweet yesterday, allegedly
giving her reason for engaging in a squabble with
her brother-in-law, but later deleted it.

See photos of abducted Chibok girls from new Boko Haram video

By     No comments:

New video of dozens of abducted Chibok school girls
has been released by Boko Haram. The girls,
numbering about 130, said to be held at Sambisa
forest, a border between Cameroon and Nigeria, are
seen praying in Arabic in the video.
In the video, Boko Haram leader said he's ready to do
a deal to free some or all the girls. He said;
"The girls you occupy yourselves with, we have
liberated them...they are now Muslims. We will never
release them unless our brethren are released. It's been
4/5 years you held our brethren and torturing
them..and now you talk about these girls. Those who
accept the faith, we'll treat them well. We will not
release the girls until you free our brothers"
Abubakar Shekau mentioned that the girls have been
converted to Islam. The girls are believed to be held in
six different locations.

Beyonce's sister Solange physically attacks Jay Z, spits on him

By     No comments:

Beyonce's sister Solange attacked Jay Z in an
elevator...kicking, swinging at him and even spitting on
him and it was captured on surveillance video. They
were trying to keep it quiet but TMZ has obtained the
video. How disrespectful Solange! Her elder sister's
husband? And what's with Beyonce not trying to calm
her sister down? Read the full report from TMZ below...
Jay Z was ferociously assaulted by Beyonce's sister
Solange  ... who was wildly kicking and swinging at
him inside an elevator ... and the attack was captured
on surveillance video ... obtained by TMZ.
According to our sources, it all went down at a Met
Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in
NYC. In the video ... Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step
into the elevator ... and then Solange goes crazy,
screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack. A
large man -- who appears to be a bodyguard --
attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to
connect at least 3 times. At one point Solange throws
a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to
strike her.  Beyonce stands by without getting
physically involved. It's unclear what triggered the
fight.
And this is interesting.  When you look closely, you see
the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the
12th floor -- mid fight -- presumably to keep the fight
private.
All three walked out of the building together -- Solange
looks pissed -- but while Bey and Solange get in one
car ... security walks Jay to a different one.

US Marine locates Abducted Chibok girls in Sambisa Forest...

By     No comments:

Yesterday, there were indications that the 230 female
students abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from the
Government Girls' Secondary School, GGSS, Chibok,
Borno State, have been sited at the Sambisa Forest in
Borno State, by the Special Forces of the United States
Marines.
This was even as more US military officials arrived
Nigeria yesterday to join local officials in the search
while the UK team had earlier arrived in Abuja to
support Nigerian government in its response to the
abduction of over 200 school girls.
Sources told Saturday Vanguard in Abuja that
members of the United States Marines who are already
in Maiduguri following the promise by President Barak
Obama to assist Nigeria in rescuing the abducted girls,
located the girls inside the forest, using some Satellite
equipment which combed the forest, located an
assembly of the young girls and sent the images back
to the Marines on ground in Maiduguri.
Aside locating the whereabouts of the girls in the
dense forest, it was also, further gathered that one of
the leaders of terrorist group who participated in the
abduction of the girls was arrested by a combined
team of the US Marines and Nigerian forces.
Sources said that the Boko Haram leader was arrested,
through an advanced interceptor equipment which was
used to track the terrorist while exchanging
information with his colleagues in Sambisa Forest
about the movements of American and Nigerian
soldiers in Maiduguri.
His phone was subsequently traced to a location in
Maiduguri where he was arrested and handed over to
the Nigerian military.
The location of the girls in the forest is contrary to
widespread reports that the girls had been distributed
and ferried to the Nigerian border towns in Chad,
Cameroon and Niger Republic.
Senator Ahmed Zanna, representing Borno Central
District in whose Maiduguri home, an alleged Boko
Haram top commander was once arrested told the
Senate last week that he gave the Military an up-to-
date information on how the girls could be rescued,
but lamented that his information was largely ignored.
He spoke against the backdrop of the claim by the
Boko Haram leader, Sheik Abubakar Shekau, last week
that the girls were booties of war, who would be sold
into slavery.
