Adamawa villagers today killed 70 Boko Haram men searching for food

By     No comments:

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, no fewer
than 70 members of Boko Haram were killed today May
16th by members of a vigilante group in the Madagali
town of Adamawa state and captured seven alive who
they handed over to the police.
The vigilantes reportedly acted after they were tipped
off by a local food vendor that the militants were
coming to get food before heading out for a major
operation to raid villages in the area, usually carried
out at night.
With this information, the vigilantes mobilized, laid
ambush and patiently waited for the men of the sect.
The men, numbering about 100, showed up later at
night to pick up their meal and that was when the
vigilantes attacked them, killing most and arresting the
ones that survived the assault. Continue...
Today's attack is reportedly the second time this week
that local vigilantes have defeated Boko Haram men. A
security source told SaharaReporters that resident in
many remote areas in the North seem to have decided
that the best way to repel incessant attacks by Boko
Haram insurgents was to take matters into their own
hands.
A vigilante member involved in today's ambush told a
Sahara Reporters correspondent that Nigerian soldiers
appear unable or unwilling to wage an effective war
against the insurgents.
"They (soldiers) seem to be helpless and to fear the
Boko Haram warriors who terrorize us here. But we
are not afraid. They are men like us. And we are tired
of folding up our hands and allowing them to kill us,
to kill our wives and to kill our children."

Boko Haram has infiltrated the Nigerian Military -- US declares as they refuse to share intelligence with NIgeria...(DETAILS)

By     No comments:

The United States military has said that it will not
share raw military intelligence with their Nigeria
counterparts as both sides work to rescue over 250
schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram.
This declaration came amid concerns over corruption
in the Nigerian military and infiltration of the force by
Boko Haram.
Pentagon spokesman, Col. Steve Warren who disclosed
this in a website, military.com , said while the U.S. will
be sharing commercial satellite imagery with Nigerian
officials, raw military data will be withheld.
“At this point, we are not sharing raw intelligence
data,” Col. Warren said.
Mr. Warren declined to give reasons for holding back
the information, but the defence website said there are
concerns within the U.S. military about corruption in
the Nigerian military and its infiltration in Boko Haram.
A U.S. army general and head of the U.S. Army, Africa
Command, General Rodriguez, met with the Chief of Air
Staff, Alex Badeh, and the Defence Chief on Tuesday to
work out protocols in sharing available data.
General Rodriguez’ presence in Nigeria had been
previously planned and he was now working out of the
American Embassy in Abuja to coordinate an inter-
agency team on assisting in the search for the missing
school girls.
“Other U.S. troops currently in Nigeria include 50-60
assigned as staff officers to the Embassy and about
20 Marines who were finishing a brief mission advising
Nigerian Navy personnel in Calabar on amphibious
operations,” Col. Warren said.

Civilians Kill 200 Boko Haram Terrorists In Borno attack yesterday

By     No comments:

The rise of the civilians against terror took the Boko
Haram saga to a new turn in the early hours of
Tuesday morning when citizens of Rann,
headquarters of Kala-Balge local government area,
Borno northeast, who had fore-knowledge of an
impending Boko Haram attack, decided not to remain
sitting ducks but prepared for battle.
According to reports we received from Civilian sources
in Borno, over 400 Boko Haram terrorists stormed
Rann and neighboring villages in the early hours of
Tuesday, with their usual convoy of hilux trucks,
motorcycles and APC (Armored Personnel Carriers)
only to meet villagers ready for them this time. The
civilian villagers pounced on the terrorists with mere
rocks, bows and arrows, local Dane guns, swords
and “charms,” but as we have earlier reported, Boko
Haram are more frightened of Civilian-JTF than they
are of the Nigerian army, and run from the civilians
even if they - the civilians only have knives

The battle raged till the sun came up and ended with
the civilians killing over 200 Boko Haram terrorists,
capturing several prisoners and recovering several of
their vehicles.
From an account of a civilian who participated in
defending the neighborhoods, as reported in
DailyTrust, “Our people also recovered over 70
motorcycles that the attackers came with. They also
collected 2 Hilux vehicles and an Armoured Personnel
Carrier (APC) while some of the attackers were captured
alive.” [Daily Trust ]
This amazing victory of good over evil, promises a new
direction in the war against terror that has wrecked
hundreds of farming villages in the north of Nigeria in
the last four years, largely unchecked by State security.
Civilians determined to arrest a situation they believe
the Nigerian security services has permitted to destroy
their farming villages in various towns in the north
east, have apparently decided take up a fighting
posture against Boko Haram terrorists; no longer
waiting for a military response that hardly ever comes.
Last week, Boko Haram terrorists ravaged Gondura
Ngala town, freely without any hindrance from the
Nigerian military drafted to the north, and decimated
the entire town, killing over 300 residents. On April
14th, Boko Haram stormed Chibok and abducted over
200 girls. In that episode, Amnesty International
reported that the Nigerian security services were fully
informed of the impending attack, by civilian vigilantes
and other Intel, several hours prior, yet did not alert or
defend the village nor engage the terrorists for a full
eight hours of the abduction, looting and destruction
of the village.
A mother from Chibok reportedly told CNN, that “if the
army is not ready to fight Boko Haram, then we will
fight them ourselves.” Apparently that day has come.
The Civilian-JTF and ENDS.ng civil rights group is
pressing the Nigerian government for the civilians to
have the right and government support, to bear arms,
to end the terror scourge once and for all. The
government is yet to officially respond to this urgent
request as villagers remain at the mercy of Boko Haram
terrorists.
The Shehu of Bama is reported to have ordered his
citizens to go get guns, after his town was completely
decimated twice by Boko Haram terrorists with no
military response for the full eight hours of carnage.
More towns are expected to follow suit as the nations
leadership sleeps and permits terrorists the largely
unhindered freedom to operate, massacre and destroy
Nigeria’s farmers and northern farming villages.

False Alarm! No Lion escaped Nekede Zoo, Owerri -- Police arrests source of false story!

By     No comments:

Yesterday, there was panic in Owerri as stories of a
hungry lion allegedly escaping from the Nekede Zoo on
May 13, 2014, Tuesday, threw the residents into
confusion.
The shocked residents were said to have closed their
shops and ran home for their safety, while some
parents raced to their children's schools to pick them
up.
It was later discovered that it was a false alarm and
the source of the false alarm was arrested and
detained by the police for questioning on why he
decided to create such panic and anxiety among the
people.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO,
Mr. Andrew Enwerem, the police heard about the false
alarm and reacted immediately by putting the citizens
at ease.
"After proper investigation, it was discovered that it
was a false alarm. The alarmist has been arrested by
the police. He is cooling his heels in our custody. He
must tell us why he decided to raise the false alarm
that created anxiety and confusion among the people,"
Enwerem said.
He therefore called on the people of Imo state to go
about their normal business and disregard the false
alarm, which had no basis in the first place.

A Chibok mother identifies daughter on video of abducted schoolgirls...

By     No comments:

A mother of one of the abducted Chibok schoolgirl has
identified her daughter in a video posted by Islamist
sect, Boko Haram, which showed dozens of girls in
captivity, a school leader said on Tuesday.
The mother watched the video on television on Monday
evening and spotted her daughter among the girls
sitting on the ground and wearing veils, said Dumoma
Mpur, parent-teachers association chairman at
Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.
The leader of rebel group, Abubakar Shekau, issued the
video on Monday offering to release more than 200
schoolgirls, who were kidnapped from the school in a
raid on April 14, in exchange for prisoners held by the
government. It was not immediately apparent when the
video of the girls was filmed.
“The video got parents apprehensive again after
watching it but the various steps taken by the
governments and the coming of the foreign troops is
boosting our spirit, even though I have not seen the
any one soldier in Chibok yet,” Mpur told Reuters by
telephone.
The Nigerian government said it was exploring all
options in its effort to rescue the girls. The United
States and Britain have sent experts to help with the
search and Nigeria has sent two divisions to the
northeastern border region.

in an elevator at The Standard Hotel after the Met

There's ve been never ending speculation of what
the real cause of the tussle would have been with

later, speculations were rife that Jay might have hurt
Beyonce who never speaks out. Solange hates the
way Jay treats Bey and wasn't going to take it this
time and that was the reason Beyonce who stood and
