Watch Video : Man Sets Fuel Station On Fire While Trying To Kill Spider With Cigarette Lighter

By     No comments:

A man realized he was stupid after he tried to roast a Spider near his petrol tank while filling up his car at a Fuel station.
The unidentified man in Michigan, wasn’t thinking when he tried to burn a spider that was crawling on his car with his cigarette lighter.
The fire swiftly spread due to the fuel fumes engulfed the fuel pump.
An employee at the gas station quickly hit the automatic stop button and then called the fire department. The man grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the flames before firefighters arrived.
The foolish man then admitted to investigators that he saw a spider crawling on his gas tank before trying to burn it alive. Lucky for him, his car was not damaged by the fire and only one fuel pump got burnt.
He went back to the fuel station the next day to apologize. The damage to the gas station is expected to be covered by accident insurance.

We Will End Boko Haram By December – Nigerian Army

By     No comments:
Buratai-e1442856804316

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has reiterated the military’s determination to end Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria in December, a statement said.
The statement was issued by the acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, in Abuja on Wednesday.
It said Buratai restated the commitment during a routine operational visit to frontline troops in parts of the Northeast.
“I want to reassure Nigerians that Nigerian Army is ever determined to succeed in meeting up with the set deadline of defeating Boko Haram terrorists by the end of this year,’’ it said.
The statement said the Army chief had defied the public holidays to embark on operational and morale boosting trips to troops under Nigerian 3 Division and 7 Division areas of responsibility.
It said Buratai’s first port of call was Headquarters, 33 Artillery Brigade, Shadawanka Barracks, Bauchi, where he addressed troops on the on-going operations.
It said the Army chief also visited the 301 Artillery Regiment, Gombe and Biu where he visited two units; 231 Tank Battalion and 331 Artillery Regiment in Aboge Largema Military Cantonment.
The statement said Buratai admonished troops to treat surrendered terrorists humanely in line with international humanitarian laws and the Nigerian Army Code of Conduct.
It said the Army chief also decorated newly promoted officers in the frontline with their new ranks and paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Biu, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umar Aliyu, at his palace.
It said Buratai was accompanied on the visit by some Principal Staff Officers at the Army Headquarters and the General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Maj.-Gen. HA Umaru and other Commanders.
NAN recalls that the Chief of Army Staff has since assumption of office embarked on visits to troops in the frontline to issue operational directives.

boy Falls From 9 storey To His Death While Trying To Take Extreme Selfie

By     No comments:

A schoolboy has fallen to his death after trying to take an 'extreme selfie' on a ninth-floor rooftop with his friend.
The 17-year-old student apparently climbed to the top of a building in Vologda, Russia, with a companion one evening last week with the intention of creating a photo of himself dangling off the towering structure.
Armed with rope and his phone, he approached the edge of the rooftop in the fading light and lowered himself over it.

But seconds later, the rope gave way and he plummeted nine floors, according to local media reports..

Although several bushes below the rooftop cushioned the boy's fall, he suffered extensive and severe injuries.

He was rushed to a hospital in eastern Russia's Vologda Oblast region, where he died around two hours later.

Before his death, the student had apparently become addicted to the thrill of taking 'extreme selfies'.

He often captured such images on his phone before posting them to his Instagram page.

He ignored friends' warnings that he was putting his life at risk by staging the pictures, - See more at: http://www.lailasblog.com/2015/09/photos-schoolboy-falls-from-9th-floor.html#sthash.1FfM1LMi.dpuf

By     No comments:

These are the four friends - Zalika Miller (far left) pictured with her friends Reisha (centre left), Tasha (centre right) and Lin Mei (right), who were allegedly turned away from top London nightclub, Dstrkt on Saturday night. The women were asked to stand across the road from the club so the white manager could look at them. After which he allegedly told Reisha and Tasha that they were ‘too dark’ and ‘overweight’ to enter the club. Read previous story here

Zalika Miller, 26, told The Voice:
‘Prior to us actually getting to the club, the [promoter] wanted pictures of the girls that my friend was going to bring. He basically said, if she was going to bring black girls then they’ve got to be of “a certain calibre”. She sent him pictures of me and another girl that was coming and I guess he gave his approval.’

''Stop condemning homosexuals'' – Catholic Bishops warns Nigerians

By     No comments:

The Catholic Bishop Conference of Nigeria, CBCN has appealed to Nigerians, especially Nigerian media to stop condemning homosexuals and Lesbians in Nigeria. The bishops stated this in an article titled “Still on Same-Sex Union and the Stand of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria”, which was shared by the group’s director of social communication, Chris Anyanwu.

According to the article, the bishops welcomed the Nigerian government's anti-gay law but they do not seek the punishment or jailing of persons who err but to help them unto salvation.

The article reads in part
“There is certainly an obsession by some journalists about ‘severe punishment of gays or lesbians’ and they try to twist the Bishops’ statements to articulate their views. Nigerian Catholic bishops are very responsible pastors who do not seek the punishment or jailing of persons who err, but to help them unto salvation. In wrongly reading the letter of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in January 2015 to President Goodluck Jonathan, some international organizations mischievously reduced the CBCN position to advocating severe punishment of gays or lesbians with long prison terms. What the CBCN supported, blessed and commended in their letter of 21st January, 2015 to former President Goodluck Jonathan was because the Nigerian government upheld the dignity and sanctity of marriage even in the face of all sorts of pressure. When, therefore, the federal government resisted the attempt to impose this culture on Nigerians by legislating against ‘same-sex union’, the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria felt a sense of great relief and issued a statement to affirm government’s decision. The Archbishop Kaigama we know is a careful and pastorally-minded prelate who would not have used such words as: ‘shameful’, ‘barbaric’, ‘madness’, etc. to refer to anyone. Our stand was and is ‘no to same sex union’ and ‘no to spreading of the homosexual culture’ which can only complicate our struggle to uphold traditional/ religious/moral values in our country,” he said.

Senate begins sitting without most anticipated ministerial list

By     No comments:

The senate this morning began its sitting without senate president Bukola Saraki reading the much awaited ministerial list. The tradition in the senate has always been that any communication from the President is read before the commencement of proper legislative business but that did not happen as Senator Bukola went straight into legislative matters.

The minority leader of the senate Godswill Apakbio observed the abnormal and immediately raised a point of order.
“The President had promised to announce his ministerial nominees today and the Senate President has finished reading the days announcements without it, why?,” Akpabio said.
The senate president however did not reply him. Senate leader, Bala Ibn Na'Allah said the legislative day had not elapsed and so more everyone should be patient. The house is still in session.
