Guinness World Records has recognised Nigeria’s Harrison Chinedu as the first man to travel the farthest distance while balancing a football on his head.
The Cambodia-based footballer set the record after walking a total distance of 48.08km from the Redeemed Christian Church of God camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, on March 6.
An Indian soldier Naib Singh had broken the world record for travelling the farthest distance balancing a football on the head after walking a total distance of 45.64km in his country in 2014.
Singh lowered the earlier record set by Bangladesh’s Abdul Halim, who travelled 15.2 Km balancing a football on the head at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on October 22, 2011, to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
Guinness World Records confirmed Chinedu’s as a world record holder in a certificate sent to the Dr Rafiu Oladipo Sports Foundation, which presented Chinedu with an opportunity to make a name for himself and Nigeria.
An elated Chinedu, who displayed his certificate in Lagos on Thursday, said his sights are set on breaking more world records.
The President-General of the Nigeria Football Supporters’ Club Rafiu Ladipo hailed the Imo State-born star for putting the country on the world map.
He commended the sports minister Solomon Dalung, Lagos, Ogun and Imo states, as well as the police, the FRSC, bet9ja and the media for supporting the event.

  • As at February 2016, the total number of persons rescued by the Nigerian troops during the ongoing operations in the North East came to 11,595
  • Since December 2015, the well-motivated and rejuvenated Nigerian Military have regained all Nigerian territories previously under Boko Haram control.

  • Overhaul of the dysfunctional topmost hierarchy of the Nigerian military which resulted in optimal result and degradation of the Boko Haram elements.
  • Was able to bring back our hitherto military allies; which saw the United States and UK governments commit their resources to the fight against the insurgents after previously backing out of negotiations with the previous administration. The Israeli government has also indicated interest in the fight against insurgency.
  • Introduction of the motor cycle battalion (This is so that the Nigerian Army can travel to remote areas that were not accessible to cars/trucks)
  • Realigned our partnership with regional allies by embarking on foreign visits which resulted in bilateral and multilateral agreements to tackle insecurity back home.
  • No more roadblocks and curfews, which normally impeded free flow of movement.
  • Continuous monitoring of activities in the region of war through the use of satellite images and geographical information system is helping in fighting insurgency and strategizing against the enemy.
  • The trips to our neighbouring countries showed the resolve of the President to push Boko Haram elements out of existence by going for the jugular of the group, cutting their arms, food supply routes. Support has thus been mobilized through the Multinational Joint Task Force.
  • Another major stride is the Trans National Organized Crime (TNOC) where the president got partnership with regional allies in the fight against the proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons.
  • As part of the reconfigured military partnership, the United States donated 24 mine-resistant armoured vehicles (MRAP) which had protected the Nigerian troops from the menace of Improvised Explosive Devices. Today we have less causalities.
  • Reached out to the G7 countries and achieved the following: intelligence sharing; technical military training; arms deals/donations
  • Overhauling of NIMASA. A reversed policy of the past administration where national infrastructural assets were given to militia leaders to protect as against established bodies like the Nigerian Navy was stopped.
  • The President Buhari government has drafted the army to partner with other security agencies in ensuring the security of our national infrastructure and this is already yielding the desired results.
  • A major ring of pipeline vandals in Lagos state were captured recently in a joint operation by security forces led by the army.
  • The government has renewed its fight against oil bunkering
  • The Nigerian Navy has recorded tremendous success lately in apprehending vessels used by oil thieves. This operation has improved security on our water ways and it has also helped improve the revenue of government.
  • Deployment of sophisticated weapons to ensure vandalism is contained by setting up a pipeline security force in stamping out the menace.
  • Effective Management of the Separatist Biafran Movement
  • Improving the technical capacity of Nigerian Police Force. We now have a forensic lab and GSM tracking device. We now have a more IT integrated Police force.
  • Restructuring of Nigerian Immigration to stop cross border crimes.

  • Joint operations involving various security outfits in curbing the menace of the herdsmen in the country has been set up.
  • The use of surveys and updated mappings across the country as strategies for preventing threats among ethnic groups in Nigeria.
CORRUPTION
  • Right from the moment he won the Presidential Election in 2015, the impression of the President as a ‘‘no nonsense and incorruptible leader’’ sent a signal to looters of public funds, with many of them returning funds that had been stolen under the previous administration.
  • To create a frame work for prosecuting the war against corruption and institutionalize probity, President Buhari set up an Advisory Committee on War Against Corruption.
  • The anti-corruption battle is gaining ground with several high profile cases already in the courts. The administration is being guided by the rule of law in the prosecution of corruption cases.
  • President Buhari enlisted the support of multilateral institutions like the World Bank and IMF, security agencies, Western countries and other friendly nations to locate and repatriate stolen assets.
  • At a London summit on anti-corruption, President Buhari announced that Nigeria will begin the full implementation of the principles of the OPEN contracting data standards.
  • In the first quarter of 2016, President Buhari embarked on trips to the Middle East to sensitize the governments on the need to repatriate stolen assets and hand over the looters for trial in Nigeria. In January, Nigeria and UAE signed Judicial Agreements on Extradition, Transfer of Sentenced Persons, Mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal Matters.

  • The opaque accounting structure of the NNPC has been reconstructed to be more transparent with the closure of more than 40 accounts. As a corporate entity, NNPC is now accountable and more transparent in operations, publishing its monthly financial reports.
  • The President also resolved the lingering shadowy oil swap deals that had cost the country billions of dollars and left it at the mercy of a few rich Nigerians.
  • To alleviate the suffering of Nigerians in September 2015, President Buhari directed the Central Bank of Nigeria to disburse N689.5 billion as bailout to 27 states of the federation to pay salaries.
  • To stimulate the economy and reduce poverty, in April, 2016, President Buhari approved deferment in the payment of the bailout as states were still reeling under the burden of the fall in commodity prices.
  • Records of more than 34,000 ghost workers draining the nation’s resources were expunged from the Federal Civil Service, saving N2.29 billion monthly.
  • In 2015, President Buhari ruled out the appointment of a government delegation for pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. By this decision, the government saved about one million U.S dollars and N30m of local expenses
  • Enforcement of the Bank Verification Number: Also the BVN has ensured that the menace of “ghost workers” are being identified and dealt with, while looters with multiple accounts can no longer hide their loot undetected.
  • Social Protection: Groundwork for social intervention/palliatives for the poor is being put in place as data is being collated by the economic planning office of the VP in conjunction with the World Bank.
  • Reorganization/restructuring of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) into a focused, accountable and transparent institution with autonomous Units (Upstream; Downstream, Gas & Power; Refineries; Ventures and lean Group Headquarters)

By     No comments:

patience-old-and-new

This has to be shocking to everyone who knows the actress’ history.

She also stated that ladies putting on makeup, trousers and jewelry in the sight of God,and continuous usage may take those who do to hell.

“God ministered to me to abandon Nollywood”- Patience Ozokwor

In a new interview with Startells at a crusade organised by St. Marks Anglican Church in Eziobodo Village of Imo State, the veteran actress shared her Salvation Experience.

Here is what she had to say: –
According to her, she normally organises a personal retreat for herself in the first few days of the new year. When it was time to have her 2016 retreat, she heard the voice of the Holy Spirit telling her to fast for 21 days, she complained that she have so many projects to handle, Endorsements and movies to shoot within that period, and the Lord extended it to a 30 days fast due to her complaints.
pat1
During this fasting period, The Lord revealed to her, how she will be a voice for him all over the world, how people’s attention will be channeled from her image on Nollywood to The Gospel. Patience Ozokwo said one of the things God warned her on, was her dressing and appearance.
pat2
She said that ladies putting on makeup, wearing jewelry and putting on trousers is wrong. She said that she has been preaching to colleagues in Nollywood, but God told her to cut off her dreadlocks, stop wearing jewelry and trousers, that she could have gone to Hell, if she died December 31, 2015 despite the preaching she’s been doing, just because of her appearance.
She asked the Holy Spirit to prove to her, give strong reasons, why that was a sin, and Spirit of God replied that she should browse about it, that Testimonies of personal revelations God gave to people are all over the internet, and all of them are saying virtually the same thing, that she should find those informations to help her life.
She made mention of her Social Class, how the creme de la creame of the society, will attend her funeral and how such event won’t be a reflection of the position of her soul.
She said that people in Church is making God cry, due to their dressing, their loose life and conduct.
After that encounter, she gave herself to spirit filled pastors for follow-up.
When asked about her Nollywood life, Patience Ozokwor narrated that the Holy Spirit has not specifically directed her to quit or to not.
She said that she has not shot any movie since that encounter in January, that she used to get an average of 1.5 Million Naira weekly, but that God has miraculously been providing her daily bread.
She warned that it will be harder for colleagues in the movie industry, with permanent tattoos and eyebrows when they eventually encounter Christ.
She also said that she should stop being referred to as Mama G, as that name was for when she was in the world.

TB Joshua Releases Fresh Shocking Prophecy About Buhari, Nigeria, Plane Crash, Warns Uk.

By     No comments:

On Sunday May 22, 2016, T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), made some shocking revelations on his Emmanuel TV station concerning Nigeria and the world at large. The ‘prophet’ spoke on many issues including the recent EgyptAir crash, African politics and agriculture, even warning of a terrorist attack in the United Kingdom.
He read out a transcript of the prophecies he had given during his New Year’s Crossover Service, highlighting particularly the national food scarcity. On each point read, he expanded further, detailing what Nigeria and Africa are to expect in the nearest future.
FOOD SCARCITY “
There will be large scale scarcity, shortage of food. As a state, country, continent, we have to go back to the farm to arrest, to alleviate the forthcoming situation”, he read. Further expanding on the details of the prophecy, he said, “It is only a ‘shortage’ that you are experiencing now; you have not experienced ‘large scale.’” Giving further insight, he proclaimed, “This one that I am saying now, ‘scarcity’, ‘large scale’, it’s a proverb. Whatever you can do from now till December – all of your money you will use to buy food – you will not have enough to buy.”
Advising those in the real-estate business he said, “If you are the type planning to build a house now, stop it for the mean time. If you are in the business of buying land, stop it for the mean time – look for another business. Stop it for the mean time until February next year. Use that money on the need of people now.”
Giving a sombre warning, he said, “I’m preparing you. Get ready; lager scale scarcity is coming!” In the last few days, Nigerians have woken up to the stark reality of the rising food scarcity. Several reports were released on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday detailing the extent of the current national food woes.
Tomato ebola, violence from fulani herdsmen, missed harvests and rising transportation costs have all been attributed as the cause of the food shortage and spiralling food prices. On the rise of “tomato ebola”, Kaduna state agriculture commissioner, Manzo Daniel, said: “This is only the beginning of a disaster if we don’t take drastic measures because the disease is fast spreading across the north.”
NIGERIA’S ECONOMY
On the economic plight Nigerians are facing, Joshua read from his beginning of year prophecies: “The president will do everything to reject devaluation of the naira – which is a good idea from a good leader. But there will be overwhelming pressure which he will not be able to resist. Nigeria, we are in a valley.
The future is crying for help.” Expanding on the ‘valley’, Joshua said: “I explained that we are in a valley but it is not the valley of the shadow of death. There is no snake or scorpion, it’s different. When you are in the valley you will cry and cry but you will still get out of the valley.”“You have to continue to cut your coat according to your size. Don’t just continue to spend your money on something that won’t be able to help you. Spend your money on something that the whole world will be looking for – food, shelter.”
AFRICAN POLITICS
Moving on the political climate in Africa, Joshua noted: “African leaders should quickly arrest the political situation. 50% of counties that do elections, at least 45% of them will face crisis. More African countries will be under siege by terrorists because of pros and cons in choosing leaders. Mishandling of electoral processes will create a conducive atmosphere for terrorists.”
UK TERROR WARNING
Joshua also claimed to have seen an attack in the United Kingdom. He said: “Pray for the United Kingdom like the railways, people, and crowds where people gather because I’m seeing some funny people in their country. But I am seeing with prayer and proper security it will be avoided but there will be a sign or trace that this happened but it will not happen the way that it was supposed to have happened but they will know that something happened there.”
The day following Joshua’s warning, 27 schools had to close nationwide in the UK due to a bomb scare. Apparently, anonymous repeated calls were made to each school, warning of explosive devices. The callers told the receptionists that “if the school called the police the bomb would be detonated immediately”. The threats continued on Tuesday with more schools being evacuated.
ANOTHER PLANE INCIDENT
On the Egypt Air crash, Joshua said: “Egypt has happened and the other one I am seeing is very close and I am going to say the country and the place. This one that I am seeing now is bigger than the one that happened.

White Bulb in Your Home May Be The Reason For All Your Problems (Must Read )

By     No comments:

Everyone are looking forward to save energy and money. Most of us are replacing the standard bulbs with new energy saving bulbs. These so called energy saving light bulbs are said by the companies that are environmentally-friendly.
This is not true and these new generation bulbs are in fact so toxic that U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a protocol and advises to follow some steps if such a bulb breaks. This is due to the gases it releases when breaks.
If the bulb brakes inside (indoor), these lights discharge 20 times more than the tolerable mercury into the air, as indicated by a study directed by analysts from the Fraunhofer Wilhelm Klauditz Institute for German’s Federal Environment Agency.
Energy Efficient Light Bulbs Can Cause:
  1.     Cluster headaches
  2.     Dizziness
  3.     Birth defects
  4.     Miscarriages
  5.     Migraines
  6.     Seizures
  7.     Fatigue
  8.     Anxiety
  9.     Inability to concentrate
Energy Efficient Bulbs Cause Anxiety, Migraines, and Even Cancer. Reasons to Go Back To Incandescent Bulbs
These bulbs contain mercury.
This is a strong neurotoxin that is particularly risky and harmful to youngsters and pregnant ladies. It is particularly poisonous to the mind, the sensory system, the liver and the kidneys. It can likewise harm the cardiovascular, and disrupt the immune system. It can prompt tremors, nervousness, a sleeping disorder, memory loss, migraines, malignancy and Alzheimer’s .
These bulbs can also cause cancer.
Another study performed by Peter Braun at Berlin Germany’s Alab Laboratory found these lights contain noxious cancer-causing agents that could bring about disease:
  • Phenol, a somewhat acidic lethal white crystalline strong, acquired from coal tar and utilized as a part of compound production..
  • Naphthalene, an unstable white crystalline compound, delivered by the refining of coal tar, utilized as a part of mothballs and as a crude material for substance fabricate
  • Styrene, an unsaturated fluid hydrocarbon, acquired as a petroleum byproduct
Furthermore they emit a huge measure of UV beams.
These light bulbs emit UV-B and hints of UV-C radiation. It is for the most part perceived that UV-radiation is unsafe for the skin (can prompt skin cancer) and the eyes. The radiation from these bulbs straightforwardly assaults the immune framework, and moreover harms the skin tissues enough to keep the best possible formation of vitamin D-3 out of the question
Taking everything into account, these bulbs are toxic to the point that we shouldn’t place them in the standard junk. They are family dangerous waste. In the event that you break one up in a house, you should open the greater part of your windows and entryways, and get out of the house for no less than 15 minutes to minimize your exposure to the noxious gas. They are most harmful to pregnant women, fetus and children.

Davido Reveals His Team Members Are Stealing From Him

By     No comments:

Davido may be having internal issues with his gang.

Yesterday, the ‘Aye’ singer took to his Snapchat to reveal that yet-to-be-identified members of his team are beginning to steal his money, and this comes just a day after he posted yet another photo of wads of dollars on the platform.

“Oh lord, keep me calm,” Davido wrote on Snapchat yesterday, adding, “they [are] stealing my money now.” However, he did not reveal any names.

This comes as a surprise especially because the HKN gang boss never fails in plunging incredulous amount of money just to buy lavish presents for his team. In April, after he bagged the N100 million-Pepsi deal, he revealed he went diamond shopping for each member of his team, and this was weeks after he had gifted each person a Rolex President wristwatches, valuing at least $8,000 (N1.5m) each.

And so, who will be stealing from Davido? Knowing how he outed his cousin B-Red for being jealous of Mayor Kun, we guess it won’t be long before he spills it all.

BUHARI SERVED UNDER ME IN THE MILITARY, HE’S NEVER GOOD IN ECONOMY — OBASANJO

By     No comments:

Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo has broken the silence over the current dwindling economy in Nigeria, by saying that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, is not sound in economic matters and as such may not do well in Nigeria’s economy. L-R: Obasanjo & Buhari According to a report in Punch, Obasanjo a two times President of Nigeria also added that Buhari may not do well in foreign affairs, except in military matters. “Buhari is not a very hot person on the economy and foreign affairs,” Obasanjo was quoted as saying. The ex-Nigerian President stated this on Monday at the third International Conference on African Development Issues — themed, “Driving inclusive and sustainable development in Africa: Models, methods and policies” — organised by Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State.
While reacting to a question posed to him by a member of the audience: “Is there any hope for Nigeria under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari?”, Obasanjo replied, “Is there any hope for Nigeria under this administration? I came back from Geneva, Switzerland a few days ago to attend a conference titled, ‘Are elections giving democracy a bad name?’

Read His Response Below: “We had an election, we elected a leader and the good thing about democracy is that the power you have to elect a leader is also the power you have to remove him. “I am saying this because I said earlier that if you don’t see any leader that has done well in the 56 years of Nigeria’s independence, then let us forget about Nigeria. “I will tell you what I know and I will tell you what I don’t know. I know Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. He served under me in the military. His characteristics that I know, his behaviour that I know, he has not deviated from them. He was never a perfect man, he is not a perfect man and no leader can ever be a perfect man because they are human beings. But if you read my book, what I said about him is correct. He is not a hot person when it comes to economy. He is not a very hot person when it comes to foreign affairs. But he will do well in matters of military and he will do well in fighting Boko Haram.”
“You may not like the way he (Buhari) is fighting corruption. I fought corruption. We recovered over $1.25bn from Abacha and his men. We didn’t make noise. Also, we recovered £100m and about N30m and those who were helping us, the lawyers and the rest said there was still at least $1bn to be recovered at that time. I put it in my handover notes. But rather than encourage scrupulous persons, we had another spate of corruption.”

NIGER DELTA HAS NO OIL, IT BELONGS TO THE NORTH – ALHAJI BUGAJE

By     No comments:

One of the lead speakers at the Northern Leaders’ Conference, Usman Bugaje, had raised a controversial issue on the ownership of Nigeria’s crude oil domiciled majorly in the Niger Delta region. According to him, it is wrong for any state to claim that it is oil producing because 72% of the total land mass in the country belonged to the North and that by the United Nation’s law; it is only the North that actually has the right to claim ownership.

Alhaji Bugaje, in his presentation, insisted that “there are no oil producing states.” He argued that “the only oil producing state is the Nigerian state itself.” He explained, “Whatever mileage you get in the sea, according to the United Nations Law of the sea, is a measure of the land mass that you have; that is what gives you the mileage into the sea…and the land mass of this country, that gives that long 200 nautical miles or more into the ocean, is because of that 72% of the land mass of this country, which is the North.”To buttress his argument, Dr. Bugaje also said, “The investment came from the Nigerian state and the territory belongs to the Nigerian state.” He further maintained, “What they claim is the off shore oil is actually the oil of the North” contending that “we should stop using these terms that have no sense at all. There are no oil producing states.”
