#BBNaija: 'My father sent me a picture of my breast' - Tboss

Big Brother Naija Second Runner up, TBoss has finally addressed some controversial topics that trended on social media during her stay in the house.

OlisaTv reports

'In an interview which Beat FM shared last night, the rising star opened up on why she bared her breasts, her failure to recite the National Anthem, and the viral clip of her saying she would spend the N25m in a week if she won it.

“The Big Brother house was a place where I was myself. At home I don’t shower with my clothes on,” said the ex housemate whose real name is Tokunbo Idowu, adding that she stripped to take her bath because that’s a given.

However Tboss added that she had to shield a part of her from the camera. But she noted that stripping had become normal to her because, “Usually, in my house, I just walk around Naked.”

The housemate revealed that she never knew that exposing her breasts would cause a lot of drama on social media, that it wasn’t until she returned that her father sent her the viral screenshot that earned her so much criticism. “He actually did a [snapshot]. He just sent me a picture of myself, and I was like, ‘Oh, Lord!”

Asked if her father was aware before now that she pierced her Tip, the BBN star expressed mild outrage. “He is now, but why would he know about that before #BBNaija?

US drops 'largest non-nuclear bomb' for first time in Afghanistan area populated by Isis members

The US has dropped what has been described as the largest non-nuclear bomb in the country’s arsenal on an area of Eastern Afghanistan known to be populated by Isis-affiliated militants.

The Pentagon said the strike was the first time the 21,000lb weapon had been used in combat operations.
A spokesperson for the US Department of Defence confirmed to The Independent that a MC-130 aircraft dropped a GBU-43 bomb at 7pm local time.

The weapon is known in the US Air Force by its nickname MOAB, or "mother of all bombs". MOAB stands for massive ordinance air blast.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the US had used a “large, powerful and accurately-delivered weapon” to disrupt the movements of militants in the country.

Pentagon spokesman Adam Stump said the bomb was dropped on a cave complex believed to be used by fighters affiliated to Isis in the Achin district of Nangarhar, close to the border with Pakistan.

The Pentagon said the mission had been in the planning stages for months. However, they "did not have the information" on whether the mission was being planned during the previous Obama administration.

“This is the right munition to reduce these obstacles and maintain the momentum of our offensive against Isis,” General John Nicholson, the head of US and international forces in Afghanistan, said in a statement.

May 30th Sit-at-home Order Not Negotiable – IPOB Insists

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, yesterday said the May 30 sit-at-home order by the group was not negotiable.

The group’s National Coordinator, George Onyeibe made this known to newsmen in Owerri, in accompany of representatives of IPOB, from other states.

Onyeibe said the alleged use of Sharia law to try their detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu, would not be accepted, adding that it was a ploy by the Federal government to “Islamize” the country.

He said, “The right for self determination is bestowed on man by God as it is backed by the united nation constitution. Biafra has an agenda.

“We understand that the use of Sharia law to try Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was an arrangement to Islamize the country called Nigeria.

“And their plan is that when they use it on Nnamdi Kanu and succeed, it will become a reference point for them.

“From there they will start to use it against other people. I want to tell you that they have failed in this their plan.

“The simple fact, is that we have come to restore the sovereign state of Biafra. Which has existed before the forceful amalgamation of the county called Nigeria.

Onyeibe added, “Yes, I will simply say that 30th of May we don’t negotiate about it. We remember that some of our members have been killed.

“We remember the one which happened during the time we were celebrating the President of the United States of America. So, I want to tell them that the 30th of May sit at home is not negotiable.”

Sheriff Has 7 Days To Apologise To Jonathan For Walking Out On Him - PDP Youths

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youths have asked the party’s national chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, to apologise to former President Goodluck Jonathan for walking out on him at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja last week.

The youths, under the aegis of the Almagamated PDP Youth Leaders Nationwide, stated this at a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday.

They said it was an embarrassment for Sheriff to have walked out on Jonathan, who they described as the leader of the party.

Chairman of the group, Segun Aderemi, has now given Sheriff a 7-day ultimatum to tender an unreserved apology to Jonathan and other party leaders.

“We witnessed what happened that day when he walked out on the former President. Would Sheriff be happy if any member of the party embarrass him the way he embarrassed Jonathan that day?

“He has to tender an unreserved apology to the former President, the BoT and other leaders of the party.

“We insist he should tender an unreserved apology. We strongly believe that he is going to do the needful,” Aderemi said.

LUNO Nigeria Bitcoin Account Frozen By Court..GET FULL DETAILS HERE

LUNO Formerly known BITX which is among top Most Secure Bitcoin Trading Platform in Nigeria faced a back lash recently as its trading Account have been Frozen By Court order in Nigeria Due to activities by One of its User that Converted Money to Bitcoin which was a scammed Funds, this development means Luno will not be able to Credited Depositors or Paid User that Withdrawn to Naira..

See Statement by LUNO to its Users regarding this development:

As you may be aware, Luno has been unable to process NGN withdrawals since Friday, 31 March.
The reason is that our bank account at Stanbic IBTC, which contains the vast majority of customer funds, has been frozen due to an unforeseen third party issue beyond our control (more details follow below).
All customer funds are safe and accounted for in the account. Right now we are unable to make any payments out of the account until it is unfrozen. For the time being, we ask you to refrain from funding your account with NGN.
WHAT CAN BE DONE IN THE MEANTIME
NGN deposits and withdrawals are currently disabled. All other services, such as buying, selling, trading, sending and receiving Bitcoin remain unaffected.
If you have a pending withdrawal that you’d like to cancel, you can do so by opening the “transactions” screen, tapping on the withdrawal and then pressing the “cancel” button. The NGN amount will then be refunded to your wallet. It is of course still possible to convert NGN to BTC and withdraw BTC.
We have been working on integrating a new debit card payment method through a different bank. We will accelerate this project and hope to enable debit card deposits soon. However, we will still be unable to process withdrawals until the bulk of customer funds in our Stanbic IBTC account are unfrozen.
WHY THE ACCOUNT WAS FROZEN
In short, a fraudster stole the identity of a victim (not a Luno customer) and managed to access the victim’s bank account. The fraudster then created an account at Luno, using the stolen identity, and transferred the victim’s money to Luno and converted it to Bitcoin. Once the victim discovered the theft, they reported it to the police who obtained a court order to freeze Luno’s entire bank account (not just the fraudulent amount). The police and court were unaware that Luno was a business serving thousands of customers and that blocking the account would affect thousands of people, not just this one individual payment. We believe that this was a huge mistake made by the police and court. We are in the process of fixing it now, but unfortunately due to the bureaucratic processes involved it will take time (more details below).
WHAT WE ARE DOING AND HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE
Since we first discovered this, the victim has withdrawn their case. However, once a court order has been issued, it cannot be simply reversed. We must obtain a new court order to unfreeze the account from a higher court. We are working with our legal team to do this as fast as possible but unfortunately it is a slow and bureaucratic process. The current estimate for re-activation of the bank account is 3-4 weeks. We are doing everything we can to sort out this problem as quickly as possible.
We will post all updates regarding this here, on our status page.
CLOSING REMARKS
We deeply regret the situation that has happened here and while we are trying to resolve it as quickly as possible, we understand that it represents a massive disruption for our customers. We ask that you try to understand the situation and the timelines involved. All funds are accounted for and all withdrawals will be processed, it will just take time.

Nigeria Ranks 2nd In The World Death Sentences After China – Amnesty Int

Nigeria has been ranked second in the world after China in recorded death sentences in 2016.

Africa’s most populous nation handed down a total of 527 death sentences in 2016, three times more than the previous year.

This was disclosed by Amnesty International, a human rights group, in its annual global report on the death penalty released on Tuesday.

“Information provided by the Nigerian Prisons Service to Amnesty International showed that 527 people were sentenced to death in 2016,” the report stated.
“The Nigerian Prisons Service also reported that 33 were granted pardon, 32 death row prisoners were exonerated and 1,979 people were on death row, including five foreign nationals. During the year, a total of 105 death sentences were commuted.”

AI’s report revealed that three people were executed in Nigeria in 2016, the first execution since 2013. The executions were carried out in Benin Prisons in Edo State.

Going by the ranking, Nigeria is only better than China, a country that shrouds its executions in secrecy.
Pakistan, Bangladesh and Egypt are ranked third, fourth and fifth with 360, 245 and 237 death sentences respectively to complete the top five countries in the world with the largest number of death sentences in 2016
The only African countries close in ranking to Nigeria are Egypt and Cameroon which are in the fifth and seventh positions respectively.

Excluding China, states around the world executed 1,032 people in 2016. China executed more than all other countries in the world put together, while the USA reached a historic low in its use of the death penalty in 2016.

In sub-Saharan Africa, fewer executions were recorded but the number of death sentences more than doubled, largely due to a steep rise in Nigeria.

At least 22 executions were carried out in five countries — Botswana, Nigeria, South Sudan, Sudan and Somalia.
In Nigeria, the death penalty is imposed for a vast array of crimes, including armed robbery, murder, mutiny and the latest being kidnapping. Methods of executions include hanging, shooting and stoning.
Some northern states practice sharia law, which imposes capital punishment for adultery, rape and homosexuality among other vices.
The upsurge in death sentences in these parts can be traced to the widespread resurgence of kidnappings and other crimes in the country’s oil-producing south and the ongoing fight against Boko Haram terrorists in the northeast.

Nigeria’s Senate had in May last year agreed to begin a process for the enactment of a law that would prescribe capital punishment for kidnappers across the country.
Several state governments, such as Oyo in 2016 and Lagos, have already introduced such legislation.

Kidnapping for ransom, which had declined in recent years, has recently increased as Nigerians face a recession caused by the crash in global oil prices.
The use of death penalty in Nigeria has generated mixed opinions among people in the country. Some people say this form of punishment violates the human right to life and could be wrongly applied on the innocent while others see it as a way to remove hardened criminals from the public without incurring cost of incarceration.
In recent years, there have been protests and calls from reputable organizations, including the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for the abolition of capital punishment.

In October 2014, former Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, pardoned three inmates on death row, following the recommendations by the State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy.

We Want To Bring Down Unemployment By Creating Over 15m Jobs – FG

The Federal Government plans to provide at least 15 million jobs for Nigerians by the year 2020 as captured in the recently launched Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP).
The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma, gave the assurance at a news conference on ERGP on Tuesday in Abuja.
Udo Udoma
Udoma said that the implementation of the plan would deliver some key outcomes including generation of at least 10 gigawatt of electricity by 2020.
The government, he said, want to bring down the rate of unemployment by creating over 15 million direct jobs by 2020 in agriculture, manufacturing, construction, services and particularly among the youth.
The manufacturing sector is to grow at average of 8.5 per cent, peaking 10.6 per cent by 2020.
“We want agriculture to also grow by 6.9 per cent over the Plan period; we want self-sufficiency in rice and wheat 2018 and 2020 at the end of the plan period.
“We want 60 per cent reduction in imports of refined petroleum products by 2018 and to become a net exporter of refined crude by 2020.
“We expect an average of 4.6 per cent average real GDP (Gross Domestic Growth) growth rate over the Plan period with 7 per cent by 2020; we want to achieve single digit inflation rate by 2020.”
“We want to increase crude oil output from 2.2 million barrel per day (mbpd) to 2.5 mbpd by 2020.
“We want to achieve at 10 gigawatt of operational electricity capacity by 2020.’’
Udoma said that the ERGP evolved from the Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) which government had been implementing since 2016.
“Already, following the implementation of the SIP, the economy has shown signs of early recovery in the 4th quarter of 2016 as indicated in the recent report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
“We need to build on that momentum.
“This Plan, which succeeds the SIP, sets out Government’s economic programmes and strategic interventions over the next four years (2017-2020).
“When implemented, it will put Nigeria back on the path of diversified, inclusive, sustained growth. This is therefore, our blueprint for economic recovery and growth.’’
Udoma further said that the plan would tackle the fundamental problems that held back the progress of the country in the past.
He said the future prosperity rests upon collective support towards effective implementation of the Plan over the next four years.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the ERGP’s projected that Nigeria will make significant progress to achieve structural economic change with a more diversified and inclusive economy in five key areas by 2020.
