President Buhari asked Norwegian govt to deport Biafra agitators' - MASSOB alleges

By     No comments:
Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra

According to the group, the government of Norway is set to repatriate the detained leader of pro Biafra agitators in Norway, Lotachukwu Okolie.

The Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) says President Muhammadu Buhari is  behind the plan by the Norwegian government to illegally deport detained Biafra agitators in the country.

According to the group, the government of Norway is set to repatriate the detained leader of pro Biafra agitators in Norway,Lotachukwu Okolie, and his counterpart Onyedikachi Ani, also detained and said to be married to a Norwegian and has a child with her.
In a statement by Mr. Uchenna Madu, MASSOB leader, he said "the government of Norway is supposed to exhibit diplomatic and International maturity in protecting the persecuted Biafrans or allow them seek asylum in other countries instead of wickedly aligning with Nigeria to eliminate innocent Biafrans."
“Norway and Nigeria have already perfected plans of deporting them through chartered cargo airplane from Belgium, to transport them to Lagos on March 9, 2016. The information we have is that the Norwegian Government have struck a deal with Nigerian Immigrations Service, in Lagos to accept all the deportees by bypassing the embassy which knows about their pro Biafra activities that are not illegal, but cooked up lies against them and consider them threat to Nigeria security, which means they will be eliminated on arrival.
“They want to deport them by force irrespective of their correct papers, against danger warnings, even without papers from the embassy, and dump them as they have been doing at the Cargo section of Murtala Muhammed international Airport, where no eyes will see them.
“We continue to insist that Biafrans are not Nigerians, so under international law, they should not be sent by force back to Nigeria to be tortured and killed like many other Biafra agitators in Nigeria and those they deported from outside Nigeria,” he said.
MASSOB however called on the United Nations, Amnesty International, European Union and other human rights organizations to prevail on the government of Norway not to deport Biafrans residing in that country to Nigeria.

Why I Criticize Buhari's Govenment - Fayose

By     No comments:
Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose and President Muhammadu Buhari

Ekiti State Governor‎, Ayo Fayose has said that he criticizes President Muhammadu Buhari to keep him from becoming a dictator.
Fayose also denied reports that he was involved in a battle with the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola.
The governor made the remarks on February 29, 2016, while inaugurating members of the Ekiti State Judicial Service Commission, (ESJSC), Daily Post reports.
“Ekiti State is my project and its interest comes first. There is no ill-feeling between me and the Chief Judge. We are both passionate about Ekiti as our project,” Fayose said.
“Those going round town with the rumour that there is a cold war between us are only mischievous. Let them know that they are disappointed already.
“Members of the commission were carefully chosen and they are men of integrity and that was why it took me some time to select them. These are people who will not pervert justice because whoever perverts justice perverts eternity for himself. The judiciary and those working there are managing a critical aspect of life.
“My criticizing Buhari is to help the people have dividends of democracy‎. If nobody is talking because they are afraid, you will have a dictator in every leader‎. It is to keep people on their toes for the love of everybody‎,” he added.
Fayose recently accused Buhari of plotting to islamize Nigeria.

Some PDP Members team up with some APGA members to form a new party

By     No comments:

Following the crisis currently rocking PDP over its new leadership, some aggrieved members of the party today teamed up with some members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, to form a new party to be known as the Peoples Mega Party, PMP. At the group's maiden meeting today March 1st, the members chose Perry Opara, an aide to former political adviser to Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak, as its protem chairman. Addressing the meeting, Opara said;

“The major people who are in the party are former members of the PDP who are disenchanted by the high level of corruption, high level of impunity and high-handedness in the PDP. They have decided to form something very new and they are of the opinion that they should hand over the party to younger elements who are less corrupt and who can fight for the interest of the people. It does not mean that it is only people from the PDP, we have APGA chairmen from many states of Nigeria identifying with the new party, people from Labour Party, LP, and the Accord Party, AP. There are also disenchanted people from the APC that feel that they want a new place and that is what it is. Today marks the birth of this new party.”he said

Buhari And APC Duped Nigerians – Fayose

By     No comments:

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that President Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) duped Nigerians by obtaining their votes by trick, declaring that; “Everything Buhari and his party promised Nigerians when they were looking for votes, they have denied and it won’t be a surprise if one day, Buhari comes out to even deny that he was elected on the platform of APC.”

The governor described Buhari’s declaration that he would not pay the N5, 000 stipend he promised to unemployed youths in the country and Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed’s claim that creation of three million jobs per year was not promised by the APC as the peak of political 419 that the President and his party represent.

He said; “They have not fulfilled any of the promises they made to Nigerians. In fact, they have even told us that they never made any promise. It is close to one year that Buhari assumed office; no single job has been created. Instead of the three million jobs per year that they promised, what we have been witnessing is job losses, economic hardship and budget padding”

Court orders Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, Jonathan's government to account for stolen funds

By     No comments:

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former president Goodluck Jonathan and late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua's government to account for all the loots they recovered during their administrations, Vanguard reports.

Delivering judgement in a Freedom of Information suit filed by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) today March 1st, the presiding judge, Justice M.B. Idris, ruled that successive governments since the return of democracy in 1999 “breached the fundamental principles of transparency and accountability for failing to disclose details about the spending of recovered stolen public funds, including on a dedicated website.”

He thereafter ordered that President Buhari “ensures that his government, and the governments of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, and former President Goodluck Jonathan account fully for all recovered loot.”.

Details ordered by the court to be made public include: information on the total amount of recovered stolen public assets by each government; the amount of recovered stolen public assets spent by each government as well as the objects of such spending and the projects on which such funds were spent.

“Why Buhari Had To Abandon Some Of His Campaign Promises” – Lai Mohamed Finally Reveals

By     No comments:

Lai Mohammed, the minister of information, has explained why the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has to downsize some of its campaign promises.
Speaking on Channels TV on Sunday, February 28, the minister said that when the All Progressives Congress (APC) was campaigning, the price of crude was $100 a barrel, but now it is $30 a barrel.
“When you campaign, you say you will do A,B, C, but when you win election, you prioritise. “We are still faithful to those promises, but as you have rightly said, when we were campaigning the price of crude was $100 a barrel, today it is $30 a barrel so definitely, we will have to downsize some of the things intended to do but this does not mean abandoning those promises.
“You do not make a budget for four years, you make an annual budget and in this years budget, we have outlined those parts of the policy that we intend to keep. “Those we cannot keep this year, we will keep in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
This is how government works,” he said. Mohammed assured Nigerians that the administration was focused on how to fulfill its campaign promises.
However, he added that the federal government was waiting for the approval of the 2016 budget before it would start implementing its plans. Speaking about the anti-corruption campaign, the minister noted that it may look one-sided because the indicted people are connected to one transaction that is currently being investigated.
Mohammed said that those people facing trial were all connected to the investigation of how the fund meant for the purchase of military equipment was used. He further noted that some members of the APC were also being investigated for other corruption cases which he did not mention.
“If you go to the EFCC today and ask them who are the people that are facing charges before them, you are going to find as many APC and as many PDP.
“However, what gives the impression that the fight is one sided is the fact that it is simply one issue that is being investigated now. That is money meant to buy arms which was diverted for other uses and unfortunately, everybody involved in that happened to be in the PDP. From the NSA to others who he had named.
“When you trace this thing, because it is just a particular transaction that is the contract of 2.1 billion dollars that was awarded to equip our soldiers, everybody that you have showed us here have been mentioned as a result of that investigation from that single transaction,” he said. The minister explained that it takes between 34 days and seven years to convict a low profile criminal. However, when that criminal is high profile, it takes as long as 10 years to infinity to convict that person, he added.
Meanwhile, Buhari has recently revealed that he will refuse to honour his pledge to grant N5000 to each unemployed Nigerian. The president added that he would rather focus on funding the construction of infrastructure, as well as education, agriculture and mining to create employment opportunities for able bodied young men. Buhari’s statement was met with furious reactions by Nigerians who voted for change.

BIAFRA Uwazuruike is FG’s Masked Witness

By     No comments:

The Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) said yesterday in Awka that it has decided to reveal Ralph Uwazuruike’s anxious role in the ongoing court case against Nnamdi Kanu of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
MASSOB alleged that the major reason the Federal Government planned to mask its paid witnesses to cover their identities is because the leading witness is a former popular Igboman who has thrown caution to the wind for the sake of money, wealth and mundane things.
The statement signed by Comrade Uchenna Madu as the leader of MASSOB, states that it would surprise Ndigbo and Biafrans in general that the leading witness of the DSS against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is Ralph Uwazurike (former MASSOB leader).
“We have all the evidences to prove our points on Uwazurike’s romance with the oppressors of Ndigbo.
“Uwazurike is jittery and not comfortable with the emergence of Nnamdi Kanu as the leading figure and hero of genuine Biafra struggle.
He will sponsor, support, participate and execute any evil plan or move that will tarnish, blackmail, jail or even kill Mazi Nnamdi Kanu just for people to see him as over-all Biafra leader which Biafrans are now fully aware that he is fake.
“Initially, the DSS has no witness or evidence against Nnamdi Kanu until Uwazurike who worked for President Goodluck Jonathan’s continuation of Nigerian domination of Biafra made himself a willing tool of destabilization to the Buhari administration against Nnamdi Kanu.
Through Uwazurike, the Federal Government has contracted Mr Benjamin Onuegbu (Uwazurike’s BIM Coordinator, Lagos State), Mr Solomon Chukwu (Uwazurike’s BIM administrator, Port Harcourt) whom Uwazurike also instigate to claim factional MASSOB leader and Sunny Okoroafor (Uwazurike’s BIM Information officer, Aba).
“It will be recalled that the DSS told the court that their witnesses are residents of Lagos, Port Harcourt, Owerri, etc. The refusal of the court to grant the DSS’ request of masking the face of their witnesses against Nnamdi Kanu is a major setback as they have no real and genuine witnesses.
“For fear of arrest and evil activities he committed against Ndigbo in the name of Biafra activism, Uwazurike desperately wants to impress President Buhari and work for him to cover his numerous criminal acts against Ndigbo.
“As a former National Director of Information under Uwazurike’s MASSOB and a very close national officer of MASSOB who spent two years in detention with Uwazurike in DSS headquarters, Abuja, Suleja and Keffi prisons before his release and numerous other things that hold us together, I know Uwazurike more than Sunny Okoroafor who was my commissioner of information, Aba region.
I challenge Uwazurike for an open debate on all of our activities involving Biafra and Igbo course anywhere in Igbo land’’, the statement concluded.
