Buhari Insulted Osinbajo Before Leaving For Medical Trip - FFK

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari referring to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as a “co-ordinator” and not Acting President, is “insulting and dangerous”.

Buhari flew out of the country Sunday night, to undergo further medical check-ups in the UK. But before then, he sent a letter to the Senate notifying the upper chamber of his absence.

The Senator representing Abia-North at the National Assembly, Mao Ohuabunwa, on Tuesday, said the transfer of power from Buhari to Yemi Osinbajo was not clear.

Ohuabunwa faulted the letter as not naming Osinbajo as Acting President and called for it to be disregarded.

Fani-Kayode has already weighed in with his opinion via his Twitter page.

“The attempt by the corpsocrats to prevent the VP from being Acting Pres. by referring to him as a ‘co-ordinator’ is insulting and dangerous.

“It is time for us to decide: do we have a nation of equals or not?If not let us break it! When u tell us that the VP cannot be Acting Pres.

“Even though the Pres. is critically sick and on indefinate medical leave u are playing with fire. There are NO more slaves in Nigeria,” he tweeted.

South-East Senators Caution Nnamdi Kanu To Keep To Bail Conditions

FOUR days after his release from detention, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu met with Southeast senators late Tuesday night in Abuja.

The meeting, which held in the Apo Legislative Quarters residence of Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, was said to have been used by the IPOB leader to thank the senators for their efforts to secure his release.

A source privy to the meeting said that the senators urged Kanu to abide with the bail conditions attached to his release by an Abuja Federal High Court on April 28.

The senators were also said to have assured Kanu that they were working to actualise the three IPOB members still in detention.

The source said that the senators did not ask Kanu to shelve his agitation for the actualisation of the sovereign state of Biafra, but stressed the need for unity and development in the Southeast.

Also yesterday, the caucus of senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) raised the alarm, alleging plots to harass, intimidate and place the deputy Senate President

They alleged that arrangements have been concluded to clamp Ekweremadu into detention within the next two weeks.

Addressing reporters at the National Assembly, the senators pointed accusing fingers as “some persons in the Presidency” as masterminds of the plot.

Speaking on behalf of the opposition lawmakers, Senator Abaribe, said the unnamed persons were plotting to use the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other security agencies to carry out the plot.

Abaribe alleged that the security agencies plan to plant huge sums of money in Ekweremadu’s residence in Enugu and elsewhere and then conduct a search on the premises to fish out the planted incriminating items. He alleged another plot to plant a gun in his car just to frame him up.

Condemning the alleged plot, which they said must be resisted, the senators called on peace loving members of the public to be aware of what they described as an insidious plan to cow dissenting voices.

Abaribe said the detention of former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, his Benue and Niger states counterparts, Gabriel Suswam and Babangida Aliyu, has raised questions about the administration’s human rights compliance.

”This is a worrisome trend happening in our country today. A situation whereby you can be set up through the security agencies and be put in prison for nothing, sounds the death knell for democracy and human rights in Nigeria.”

At the briefing were: Ekweremadu, Senate Minority Leader Godswill Akpabio; senators Theodore Orji and Gilbert Nnaji, among others.

Trump's Policy : Regina Askia Shares her ordeal at US Immigrations

ex-beauty queen and former Nollywood actress turned U.S based nurse, Regina Askia-Williams, expresses her sadness at the the high rate at which US immigration embarrass people with question, she recounts her ordeal, read below :

"15 years in America as a green card holder, i never felt any type of pressure to change status, all these years until Trump came. I always thought the blue passport was not necessary afterall i was still nursing big political ambitions for Nigeria.
I never cared for the inconvenience of being separated from the rest of my family who are all Americans to boot, ( except Stephy who is French) when ever we had to pass through immigrations on our many travels. And then Trump and his extreme vetting policies which by the way folks is no joke.
"Questions like forsaking all royalty and titles, will you bear arms for the country, when and why did your name change from Imaobong to Regina, have you ever been arrested, do you have any criminal records, do you owe money under a different name, when did you first come into America, when and where did you get married, how many times have you been married, what was your entry point into the country ( to ensure I did not float over on a log or scurry over in a tunnel). Why does your adopted daughter have the same name as you ( africans know its a thing of honor to have a child named after you), what is your source of income, what outstanding fees do you owe ( at this point my heart flutters, maybe Great Lakes has told them things about school loans). I was surprised they didn't ask if I was born female. Anyway after all said and done..... I got a handshake and walked out of there as............"

See Details On How THe Female Corper From Nightclub Was Killed In Abuja

The life of a 25-year-old corps member, Charity Thilza, has been brought to an abrupt end three days to the completion of her National Youth Service Corps programme in Abuja .

The Borno State indigene was killed by some robbers along Wuse 2 Road while she was returning home from a nightclub in Carribean, Wuse 2 around 3 am on Monday.

The ‘passing-out parade,’ which marked the completion of her one-year programme would hold on Thursday (today). She studied Linguistics and English at the University of Maiduguri .

PUNCH Metro learnt that Thilza and four friends identified simply as Lola, Bisi, Pooja (an Indian) and a man had attended a show at the club where a hip hop artiste, Chibuzor Azubuike, popularly called Phyno performed on Sunday.

They were said to be returning home from the party in a car the following day when the robbers gave them a chase.

The assailants reportedly shot at the car repeatedly and some of the bullets pierced through the windscreen and hit Thilza who was sitting at the back. One of the friends Lola was said to have also sustained gunshot injuries.

Our correspondent learnt that the robbers retreated when they noticed that the driver of the car was heading towards a police station.

Thilza’s close friend, Thlama Bukar said she was rushed to a hospital but was rejected. She said she died on the way to another hospital that she was referred to.

Bukar who spoke with the press on the telephone said she was together with Thilza until Friday, when she (Bukar) returned to Maiduguri, Borno State, where she lives.

She said, “ Phyno performed at the Carribean (the club) on Sunday. They were coming back home around 3 am on Monday when they noticed that a car was trailing them. They took a detour but the car continued following them.

The driver of their car started speeding and the robbers opened fire on the car. Unfortunately some of the bullets hit Thilza from the back of the car.

“Five persons went for the party. One of them is a man, but I don’t know his name . I learnt Lola was also hit by the bullets and has been admitted to a hospital. The incident was reported to the police.

“Thilza lived in Zone 6, Wuse 2 and served at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Abuja. She clocked 25 years in January. Her corpse will be brought to Maiduguri on Thursday (today). Her father is late . Presently, her mother is not talking ; she is very distraught. She was the first child of the family. She has four young siblings.”

Bukar said Thilza had planned to join the NSCDC after the service, adding that her death was a big loss to the family.

She said, “She was a kind and simple person. I left her and other friends in Abuja on Friday. They accompanied me to the airport when I was returning to Maiduguri. She told me she wanted to join the NSCDC.”

Friends of the deceased on Facebook have also expressed shock over her death, extending their condolences to her family.

One Monsurat Abdulrasaq wrote, “Oh Charity! Our souls are full of pains on hearing of your unfair demise. This got to me like a swift wind. May God comfort your entire family at this tough time. May God bring you comfort. Amen”

A colleague, Jabal Gadzama wrote on Thilza’s timeline that they met a few days ago.

“Please can someone explain what happened to me? I was with her last week during the biometric for our NYSC final clearance. Please just tell me it is not true,” she said.

The spokesperson for the NYSC, Federal Capital Territory, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe said the corps was making efforts to ensure the release of the corpse for burial.

She said, “The victim was our member with code number, FCT/15a/5295. She was supposed to pass out on Thursday (today). We learnt she and her friends went clubbing.

“When they were coming back around 3 am in a flashy car, armed robbers trailed them. When they could not get them, they shot at the car and the bullets hit her.

“They tried rushing her to the National Hospital, Abuja but she died on the way. The family members are in Abuja with the NYSC coordinator. The corpse is with the police. Possibly, it will be released for burial today (Thursday).”

The police spokesperson, FCT Command, ASP Anjuguri Mensah, said he was on a course and promised to send the number of his deputy to our correspondent for comments on the incident. He had, however yet to send the number as of press time.

Chris Okotie Attacks TB Joshua Over Israel Relocation

Flamboyant Nigerian Pastor Chris Okotie is the latest prominent voice to wade into the controversy over Prophet T.B. Joshua’s proposed relocation to Israel.

Speaking on Facebook, Okotie, who has long been an outspoken critic of Joshua, described the cleric as an attention-seeking “impostor”.

“He is controlled by a malevolent misanthropic spirit,” the pastor of Household of God International Ministries wrote on his official Facebook Profile under a news article he reposted detailing Joshua’s alleged relocation.

“His hypocritical jeremiad should be ignored. He is just another frustrated shaman seeking public sympathy,” Okotie wordily concluded.

However, followers of Okotie were surprisingly quick to rise to Joshua’s defence, commenting that the cleric had not been positioned to judge on such matters.

“Honestly, I do not think a brilliant man like Chris Okotie will castigate another who propagates God's throne,” queried Tamaraudoubra Sultan Zimughan.

“On whose mandate is Okotie labelling T.B. Joshua a shaman? Go to both Churches and see whose is more of God? Look at T.B. Joshua's life and that of Chris Okotie and see who is more fruitful”.

APC chieftain Timi Frank and PDP stalwart Femi Fani Kayode are among those who have joined the growing call for Joshua to remain in Nigeria, citing the spiritual, economic and social impact of his church.

Meanwhile, in a post on Joshua’s official Facebook page, the controversial cleric revealed the secret behind his ‘money’. According to him, the reward accrued from ministry cannot be quantified in material terms.

Speaking specifically about his foreign crusades, Joshua disclosed that he pays for the large majority of arrangements and does not touch the offerings collected during such events.

“My joy is to see people healed, delivered and blessed. That is my money. Each person that is delivered is more than $20,000 to me! That is the money God gives me - the joy to sleep in peace,” Joshua stated.

“You need to know what it means if God uses you to heal and deliver people,” the cleric continued. “If you know what it means – the joy in God using you to deliver people – you will never ask the people you deliver to bring money… If God uses you to remove the pain of one, you are more than a millionaire.”

According to the prophet cum philanthropist, “If money is your gain, you are robbing yourself. That money is insufficient – it cannot give you peace.”

HOW I WAS SEXUALLY ABUSED - TY Bello Reveals

Nigerian singer, songwriter, photographer and philanthropist, Toyin Sokefun-Bello popularly known as TY Bello, has opened up how she was sexually abused while she was growing up.

While speaking on Accelerate TV series, ‘King Women’ which is produced by prolific video director, Kemi Adetiba, popular singer and celebrity photographer, TY Bello, revealed that she was molested as a child and that it had a negative effect on her during her formative years.

She said; “I was sexually abused as a child and because of this, I felt like there was something ugly about me that made me encounter this. This was not the abuser’s fault, this was me. I used to see other girls as flowers and I saw myself as dirty cement, hard and ugly. I never felt beautiful, everything was wrong with me, I was hairy and it was a problem.

“I always attributed everything that was about me to be the reason someone took advantage of me. I thought there was something wrong with me because if the others girls were like me perhaps they would be dirty like me but they were flowers.

“When a friend told me about salvation, she told me old things would be passed away and all things will become new. It was as if God could wash away that stench and I would become a girl because I didn’t feel like a girl.”

The Greenland singer said she was relieved when she found out that she was not the only one that was sexually abused as a child.

“I was shocked when I grew up and found that one out every three or four girls in my secondary school had suffered the same thing and I could tell them the same thing… that old thing can pass away.

“It was a relief to find that I was not the only one and a shock that nobody talks about it. That’s why salvation worked, I had a daddy and I was going to be a flower.”

The singer also spoke about how she handled the dissolution of KUSH, an all-female gospel band she belonged to for many years.

“When KUSH ended, I guess it was time for it to end because we were together for eight years and the fact we were different and wanted different things tore us apart. Breaking up was very painful and we couldn’t explain what happened to everyone so we had to sit back and watch the public dissect your life,” she said.

BBNaija Star Tboss Announces She is Venturing Into Acting

Big Brother Naija star, Tokunbo Idowu, popularly known as ‘Tboss’ has revealed plans to begin a career in acting as well as hosting a radio show which she hopes to develop into television.''

According to her, she is currently gathering content for the show, attending a couple of auditions and she has received a lot of scripts which she has been screening.

The former BBN housemate said this on Channels Television, while sharing her experience in the house as well as outside the house, since the show came to an end.

“I am overwhelmed, completely overwhelmed.” According to her, there has been so much love and she would rather focus on the love, rather than on any form of hate.

Reacting to the issue of an alleged sexual harassment by Kemen, a former housemate who was later disqualified from the show following the incident, TBoss expressed utter disappointment, adding that the decision by Big Brother was the best option.

“I considered Kemen a friend. He was my go-to guy and my buddy, he encouraged me, he motivated me and he pushed me to mingle more with people especially at times when I didn’t feel like I fit in. So, for what happened to have happened, and just knowing all the people that look up to me, it was sad.''

“I was angry, humiliated and I did feel violated but, I don’t play the victim card and I honestly feel that the decision that Big Brother took, was the only Decision that could have been taken.”

The ‘See Gobe’ edition second runner up, who was asleep in the same bed with Kemen, when the said assault occurred, stated that she was unaware of any such thing until Big Brother called her attention to it the following day hence; she did not assent to it and whatever happened was not mutual, as initially suggested by Kemen.
