Emeka Ike, the assumed wife beater, over the weekend, took to the social media to plead with estranged wife to come back home.

Recalling the ugly ordeal his wife, mother of his four kids, Suzanne, accused him of, about two weeks ago which initiated her filing for divorce in a Lagos court, the dark-skinned playboy actor revealed they were all erroneous.

FG bars 113 vessels from lifting oil in Nigeria

The Federal government has barred 113 vessels from lifting oil in the 27 oil terminals in Nigeria. The Federal government's directive is contained in a memo sent out by NNPC on July 15th to owners of the affected vessels.

According to Sahara Reporters, the 113 vessels were reportedly involved in a systematic oil theft which was recently discovered by the Federal government. The vessels were also barred from operating within Nigeria's territorial waters.

The Chief of Army staff, Maj. Gen Tukur Buratai says Boko Haram will either beg for peace or face the full wrath of Nigerian soldiers. He said this will addressing Nigerian troops stationed in Borno state yesterday July 19th. According to Maj Buratai, the operational name of the troops in Borno state will now be changed from “Operation Zaman Lafiya” to 'Operation Zaman Lafiya Dole' which in Hausa language means ‘the quest for peace becomes a must’.

“The ongoing activities of Boko Haram is assuming an alarming dimensions in Borno state and other parts of the north east. We will not tolerate the killing of citizens and destruction of property; in as much as we urge you (troops) to adhere strictly to human rights abuses, the time to crush Hoko Haram and other criminal activities in this country is now or never. As Chief of Army Staff, I will be actively involved in this ‘Operation Zaman Lafiya Dole’ to end the madness of Boko Haram if I will have your collective maximum support and cooperation. My doors will always remain open to all of you for constructive criticism and advice towards restoration of peace in this part of the country. 26 have been confirmed dead and over 50 people injured after a huge explosion in the Turkish town of Suruc near the Syrian border this morning. Just about an hour ago. The explosion targeted Kurdish youths and western volunteers in a Kurdish cultural centre. The youths were giving a press conference regarding the reconstruction of Kobane before the explosion went off. The photos above were taken right before the blast.

The rather large delegation will also have former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi; Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential election, Pastor Tunde Bakare; former President of the Newspapers Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN) and publisher of The Democrat, Ismaila Isa Funtua; a former Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazzau; and Halilu Sheni, a businessman.

Others in the delegation will include officials in the presidency and some heads of government parastatals.

New DSS DG orders demotion of 100 officers......Redeploys Marylin Ogar
