Today is the birthday of Nigerian veteran R&B singer, Darey Art Alade.
Darey is the son of iconic jazz singer, Art Alade.
When Darey was 15, he began to perform at clubs in Lagos, Ibadan.
During one of his performances at a night club he was noticed by an executive of the radio station, Cool FM.
After his stint on radio, Darey took part in the Project Fame Academy in South Africa in 2004, where he emerged third.
Shortly after he signed to Storm Records in Nigeria and released his debut album ‘From Me 2 U’ in 2006.
Darey got married in 2007 to Deola Art-Alade. They have two kids.
