Asari Dokubo accuses the DSS of disabling his Facebook account

The spokesperson to the leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Front (NDPSF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, Rex Ekiugbo Anighoro, has alleged that the Facebook account of Asari Dokubo has been disabled by the Department of State Services (DSS).

A statement released yesterday by Ekiugho titled: 'Buhari and APC: Depotism and the Confiscation of Freedom of Expression: Time Bomb Waiting to Explode', alleged that Asari's account was disabled after he began a serialised article on his Facebook page on the gaffes and hypocrisy of Pres. Buhari.


"Although we are not surprised at this junta’s long awaited modus, it remains a sad commentary that we are back to stone age where press freedom is endangered"
Ekiugbo said in the statement said investigations carried out by them revealed that President Buhari through his media aides had begun the systematic dismantling of accounts of all strong and key opposition voices in the social media network through frivolous petitions of ‘inciting public unrest and the making of hate speeches’ to management of Facebook in their desperate moves to control the network media space.

Obama ‘Heartbroken’ On White House Employee Death

US President Barack Obama has said he is “heartbroken” after a senior White House employee was killed on a charity bike ride. Jake Brewer, 34, died while taking part in the 150-mile Ride to Conquer Cancer event on Saturday.
The senior policy advisor in the chief technology office lost control of his bike and was hit by a vehicle. Mr Obama said: “Jake devoted his life to empowering people and making government work better for them.” He said Mr Brewer had “a brilliant mind, a big heart, and an insatiable desire to give back”.
“He worked to give citizens a louder voice in our society. He engaged our striving immigrants. He pushed for more transparency in our democracy. And he sought to expand opportunity for all.  “I’ve often said that today’s younger generation is smarter, more determined, and more capable of making a difference than I was as a young man,” Mr Obama’s statement said. “Jake was proof of that.”

White House Chief Technology Officer Megan Smith described Mr Brewer as “a driven polymath” in addition to being “extraordinarily kind”. She has written about the range of his work in a White House blog. Mr Brewer, from Alexandria, Virginia, reportedly lost control of his bike on a sharp curve in Howard County, Maryland.

 Thousands of refugees are stuck at the Croatian border with Slovenia, with some already waiting for three days since sunday in a stretch of no-man’s land between the two countries, hoping to get through.
blocked from entering Slovenia,they shouted and kicked at the border fence near the Croatian village of Harmica,As Tensions ran high demanding entry.  Around 300 refugees were stuck at the border crossing after Croatia decided to let them pass through the country on their way to Western Europe, in response to receiving more than 20,000 people over the past four days.

Those allowed to cross into Slovenia were put on buses, taking them to reception centres elsewhere in the country, while others had no choice but to wait at the border crossing.  Al Jazeera’s Laurence Lee, reporting from Ljubljana on Monday, said conditions across the border in Slovenia were “very different”.

 Newly engaged Rick Ross is being sued by a woman simply identified as Jane Doe who claims she was raped during Grammy weekend after being drugged in Rick Ross' van. 
Jane Doe in the lawsuit claims she was at the W Hotel in L.A. where she met up with Rick and his entourage, who had invited her to go to Cannabis Cup which is a weed convention.

She says she got in the van with Rick, a guy named Thaddeus "Black" James, a DJ, 3 security guards and the driver and was offered some alcohol and shortly thereafter became dizzy and eventually passed out.
She says the next thing she knew, 2 hours had passed and she was in the van with Black, she went back to Black's hotel room and passed out again. She says she woke up at 8am, examined herself and realized she was naked and had been sexually assaulted.

Even though she says she believes Black is the one who raped her, she's suing not just Black but also Rick Ross because she says Black was Ross' agent and he should have been supervising him, and it was Ross' van.

According to an exclusive interview with TMZ, Ross said:
"It has been brought to my attention that serious allegations have been made against an independent contractor, who's services I use often. And while I am not directly involved or implicated, as a man and a father, I take this very seriously. I don't believe any woman's safety should be compromised and she should never be forced to do anything outside of her will, regardless of the circumstances."
58"While I personally have no knowledge of the specifics surrounding these allegations, it is my hope that this is rectified quickly and with sensitivity."

Every time He Ganhui and his girlfriend fight, he works out his emotions with super long biking trips. The farthest Ganhui’s ever cycled is all the way to Africa!
It all started in 2012, when Ganhui was working as a fencing coach in Foshan, China’s Guangdong province. He had a huge row with his girlfriend one day, and was completely pissed off. Not knowing how to deal with the negativity, he simply got on his bike and rode all the way to Beijing – about 2,200 km away.
“I borrowed a bike from a friend,” Ganhui recalled. “I was on impulse and set off for Beijing. I was such a rookie at the time. I even did not know how to deal with a flat tyre.”
When Ganhui’s girlfriend found out what he was doing, she bought a bike and joined him on that trip. Together, they started from Guangdong province, passed through Jiangsu and Zhejiang province, cycled via Shanghai to Hebei, and eventually reached Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Ganhui was filled with admiration for his girlfriend, for enduring the tough ride. “The amazing thing was we never had a single row while we were on the road,” he said.
But the couple ended up arguing bitterly again in 2013. This time, Ganhui decided to cycle all the way to Africa along with a friend. The duo rode through southwestern China’s Chongqing Municipality to Tibet, crossed the border to Nepal, and eventually ended up in Kenya.
“When we arrived in Africa, we had no accommodation,” Ganhui said. “I slept in front of a tribal chief’s home. Everyone thought we were very strange, as if we were from another world.”
Ganhui and his friend had plans of continuing their journey, but their bikes and backpacks were stolen while they slept at a hotel in Zambia. Fortunately, the thief left behind their IDs, passports and credit cards, so they were able to get back home after six long months on the road. 
Ganhui is now back together with his girlfriend. He’s decided to give cycling a rest for a while and try talking through their issues instead. His girlfriend, on her part, has promised not to yell. “I guess I’ve seen enough of the world now,” he said. “It’s time to try and make things work at home.”

According to Helen:
“I met him through my boss where I was formerly working. He was a friend to my boss. While he always saw me as too playful and jumpy, I saw him as too stingy,”
“Those days when my boss’ colleagues came visiting, they always reached out to us when leaving. They gave us money which we used to buy doughnuts and soft drinks but my husband never gave us anything.
“He would just wave his hand and say ‘bye bye guys, take care of yourselves’,” she says, mimicking a stern and unfriendly male voice, adding, “So we always saw him as a selfish lawyer.”
On the main day:
“On that fateful day, I summoned courage and as he was leaving, I told him, ‘sir, you don’t buy us anything any time you come but we really like you. If you can be buying us doughnuts and soft drinks, we would be very grateful’. He started laughing, so I quickly added, ‘sir, it’s not only me o. My colleagues are also involved, so please don’t tell our boss”
“We were so happy I asked for his phone number which he gave me. And then I gave his number to my friends and we all started calling to thank him. He realised that we really desired the doughnuts and soft drinks so whenever he came by, he would give us money for doughnuts and soft drinks. He never failed to deliver whenever he showed up and we never stopped thanking him. And then one day, he took a good look at me and said ‘baby, I love you’ and the rest is history.”
