Charles Okah, one of the alleged masterminds of the 2010 Independence Day bombing in Abuja, today, reportedly attempted to jump from the third floor of the Federal High Court complex, but he was stopped.
Charles who is a younger brother to ex-leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, Mr. Henry Okah, was said to have conspired with other Niger Delta militants to kill President Goodluck Jonathan while Nigeria celebrated its 50th independence anniversary in Abuja.
He is currently answering to cases bothering on felony and terrorism alongside one Obi Nwabueze, with the court having earlier sentenced their co-accused, Edmund Ebiware, to a life imprisonment.
It should be recalled that Okah was fingered in the 2010 Independence Day bombings that rocked Eagles Square, Abuja, during the celebrations resulting in the death of 12 persons, and injured 17 others.
